But look at the third gif. Oliver looks surprised and then relieved. Felicity is telling him that he’s right. That he needs to go get his sister, nothing else matters. Everything else be damned. He’s surprised that she agrees with him but then he’s so relieved that she does because even after everything Felicity is the teams moral compass, the heart of everything. And if she says do it, then he knows for a fact that he damn well will.

I have to get this off my chest...Oliver Queen...the Oliver Queen they introduced us to last season and the beginning of this season would NEVER have signed the company over to a woman that his own team brought him back from LIan Yu to fight to save his company in the first place. No way. Nope.

This was poor writing. Poor hindsight. Yes, he wasn’t thinking clearly because of Thea, but he spent years reading and memorizing the names in that book. He trusts his team with his life…they warned him about her from the start. And the writers want me to believe that he would just sign EVERYTHING…

I agree with you that it was OOC but I do also feel like he’s not been himself lately. He’s been rash and I think that is the unique effect that Slade Wilson has on him. He can’t think straight - not just because of Thea but because he feels in some ways that he deserves whatever Slade is dishing out. He can’t focus, can’t think, he has reverted back to reflexes - he’s Oliver on the island, the “kid” Oliver…not the grown man who makes plans and thinks ahead and trusts his team. He’s unpredictable because he’s afraid of Slade. Absolutely petrified.

I agree, he's not himself. BUT, that doesn't mean you lose sight of who your enemies are and who you trust. He knows that. Isabel has never been one he could trust - or she shouldn't have been with her name being in the book as well as his team's feelings towards her and the dirt they dug up on her.

Sloppy writing just hurts my heart and that's what this was.
