Because we know Tommy would have loved the way Felicity could put Oliver in his place, and you know Tommy would have said something to Oliver about her…noticed the way he was around her. Oliver would have confided in his best friend that he cares about her - cares more than he should, and Tommy would tell him that she was good for him because after everything, he does want to see his best friend happy, and he knows Oliver is happy with Felicity. So he and Diggle would work behind the scenes to set them up…and they would be the best men at the wedding. Tommy would throw the reception and end up looking at Felicity as a little sister he’ll always look out for because now they’re family…

HE WAS SUPPOSED ALMOST LOSE THE RINGS AND THEN MAKE A SASSY TOAST ABOUT HOW HE THOUGHT THIS DAY WOULD NEVER COME. HE WAS SUPPOSED TO DANCE WITH THEA CAUSE THAT’S WHAT SURROGATE BIG BROTHERS DO. AND HE WAS SUPPOSED TO ACT TERRIFIED WHEN LAUREL CAUGHT THE BOUQUET, BUT SECRETLY BE THRILLED BECAUSE THE DIAMOND RING IN HIS POCKET IS ALREADY STARTING TO FEEL TOO HEAVY BECAUSE IT’S NOT ON HER FINGER YET.

BUT TOMMY MERLYN DIED IN HIS BEST FRIEND’S ARMS AND I AM NOT OKAY.
