Hey! I just read your Yunho Ghostface kinktober fic and oh my GOD. I have THOUGHTS
I don't normally like Ghostface fics, and your warnings had cnc and that stuff, so I was hesitant to read this fic. But I tried it and I could NOT put it down! It was written so beautifully, it all flowed. The dynamics of the reader and Yunho, and the characters they played in the scene, and the constant consent checks sprinkled throughout, that was an amazing read!! I also LOVED how you wrote the aftercare. I've seen a lot of writers who kind of gloss over the aftercare parts, which is their prerogative and I still enjoy their fics anyway, but it was so refreshing to see the aftercare written out so carefully and thoughtfully that I almost forgot that aftercare is more than wiping each other down and a few kisses.
TLDR: Was hesitant to try it, turned out to be one of the best fics I've ever read.

omg hi long time lurker - i am so absolutely pleased you included kim ji young born 1982 into across stardust!! i got to that part in the fic and had to stop and say something. the book and the movie are both truly heart-breaking pieces of feminist literature that i absolutely recommend Everyone! read and i am so happy that you're putting a spotlight on it. both mediums are so lovingly crafted and i absolute cried the whole time with both. i feel like it really does paint a genuine picture of what feminism in korea is like right now for this book to be so 'objectionable' to the standard netizen, especially when the point of the book is "ji young is you, she is me, she is the every day woman." and on that note.. i really do appreciate how much forethought both yun and the lead put into her autonomy - i feel like thats an aspect of soulmate tropes i dont see explored much, so i was pleased as a peach to see little ripples in the standard quo.
cant wait to see where this series goes! save me chai long form fic from fresh graduate job applications... save me...

i’ll be honest, i’ve had a lot of conflicting feelings about writing certain tropes given the climate in korea. i’d like to think that all eight members of ateez are progressive, or at the bare minimum believe in women’s autonomy and rights, but the reality is that we just don’t know. over the past year i’ve been disappointed by idols again and again who prove they aren’t a magical exception to korean social politics and it truly does affect how and what i write, or if i write at all.
that being said…. until proven otherwise i’m choosing to believe the best about our ateez, and when i write them i really want to be explicit in the version of them i hope for.
the idea of soulmates inherently implies a lack of choice, but it’s important to me in all my work that not only is consent present, it’s acknowledged and contemplated by the characters. the only reason they have the choice to seal the bond in my little universe is because i just won’t ever write a world in which there’s no choice for our mc, fated mates or not. and because we’re not in yunho’s head, it’s hard for me to convey that he understands and acknowledges that reader has a choice without some seriously clunky dialogue. so including kim ji young born 1982 was a nod to indicate that he’s the type of man that makes his own opinions, and that he’s the type to listen before he speaks.
i hope i’m able to keep threading that truth through the fic in an authentic way, and im really touched you sent me this comment. there’s nothing more important to me than consent and autonomy, even when playing in darker tropes, and im so glad that resonated for you in this one.

not even a chapter, it’s an arc. i really want to explore hwa and reader getting deeper into d/s dynamics and learning about themselves through the fic, and spanking is something i want to be a real discussion point around why hwa as a dom needs strict control and the ability to caretaker and why reader as a sub needs the ability to fully submit and feel safe losing control.
bringing yunho into the arc is more about understanding aftercare, and understanding how two more dominant individuals can be so different with the same acts and both are things reader needs.
……i should also say mingi is involved……………………. and then everyone else during the run the train but ANYWAYS 🥰

here’s the thing. i enjoy the subby yunho agenda as much as the next fic writer or reader as long as its written well, but i will never in my life believe that that man would want that.
i’ve been a fan of ateez for almost four years, and a hotteok that entire time. and as y’all know, i’m a writer that spends way too much time analyzing everything and studying the boys but especially yunho so i can write them half decently.
what i’ve learned about him in that time is that he is absolutely 100% a dom. to be clear, and ive said this before, he definitely is the type who like could go his whole life without actually getting into proper d/s dynamics. i don’t think he’s necessarily driven towards kink like many people, but the potential in him is super clear. i could talk about this forever tbh but i know this fact like deep in my core

distracting your gamer friend over voice chat gets serious (🎧🔞reddit) - yunho x reader. i genuinely dislike almost every gamer fic i've ever read but this audio literally changed my brain chemistry. so i'd love to write what i want in a gamer yunho fic using this audio as a jumping off point. but essentially, gamer!yunho / neighbor!yunho x gamer!reader verbally fuck with each other while gaming and when reader loses a bet he gets to come over to your place and do what he wants to you. fucked by your secret ghost roommate on halloween night (🎧🔞 reddit) - ghost!mingi x student!reader; the idea is essentially mingi used to live in her dorm and died there and he has a lot of unfinished business.... namely he's a virgin (not that he's going to tell reader that). she knows there's a ghost, he's watched her hook up before/touch herself, and she's into that..... but when her plans fall through on halloween night and the veil is thin and mingi realizes he's kind of corporeal? well all bets are off. plus this gives me the chance to write overly confident with his words mingi who turns out to be a subby whiner the minute he actually gets to touch the girl lmao hooking up with a masked stranger at the halloween party (🎧🔞 reddit) - boyfriend!yunho x girlfriend!reader; while august's audio isn't necessarily preplanned relationship cnc, i think that's what i'd be more comfortable writing. but yunho and reader essentially decide to go to a masked halloween party and pretend to be strangers to fulfill one of his biggest fantasies. so she dresses up as the final girl and he dresses up as a psycho killer in a mask..... and the rest is between them and the house party basement. temping your favorite tailor at your dress fitting (🎧🔞 patreon exclusive) - tailor!seonghwa x princess!reader; after years of having a close friendship with your personal tailor and dress designer, you need to take your engagement dress for a fitting. you're about to be married off to a man you don't know in a country far away from seonghwa and everything you've ever known.... and you find yourself alone with him, confessing your fears and your true feelings for him in the middle of your fitting. def a more tragic romantic vibe than august's audio, but you know i'm about the angst.
anyways there's more because frankly his scenarios just eat it up they're the best, but these are the ones i reallllllly want to write some short smutty oneshots for (short like 5k-8k because lbr i can't shut up ever)
also small disclaimer, august has said that he doesn't mind people writing fics/works based on his scripts as long as it's actual inspiration / not plagiarism

i see you; anything that has yh in it im probably already emotionally invested in 😔 and fortunately their characterization of him is very sweet and very real in a way i dont see all that often. the way the conflict is set out in this twoshot had me genuinely clawing walls crying screaming throwing up. the other fic i recommend from op is where yunho has a talking penis (yes) and mayybbbeee the bird-based omegaverse depending on how you feel about the tags and how curious you are. neither play into wanting to demean and both i feel say something at least moderately interesting about gender or their world building. ( in other news if you ever want emotionally crushing toxic codependent woosan or yunhwa character studies i unfortunately have that on lock )

Particularly in New Moon, the scene where he's pulling glass out of Bella's arm and Kristen Stewart looks at Peter like she's going to ravage him on that table.
And that moment where he cradles her chin and stares at her with way too much sexual tension is the moment many twihards who watched realised their daddy issues were way bigger than they anticipated (that's me I'm one of them).
13 year old me was blushing and kicking my feet over Edward Cullen and I'm sure I'll be doing the same at 43.
