To you I sing, O Amber-radiant Hestia, Beloved eldest sister of Zeus Almighty. Hestia, you of the golden lamp The sooty hearth, the brazen tripod Protector of my home and my family.
To you I pray, divine goddess of my home. Waking men with the crow of thy cock Oemethese. The watcher of children in home and school The lead cook in the kitchen foreseeing my meals And the stabilizer of my roof, rafters and walls.
For me of Hestia, you are everything. For without thee, homeless I would be. Without thee I would have no light at night Nor hearth fire to cook my meals on Nor light in my home to guide me at night.
For all this and more, O daughter of Rhea, I give thinks to you blessed Hestia. For the food I eat each night I give thanks. For the flame that lights my home, I give thanks. For the heart heat to keep me warm. I give thanks.

I missed my goal by 45 minutes. Dang! Oh well. So here is Hestia, next on my list. She is based on 3 sources: The famous Vesta Giustiniani statue in Rome (Yeah, I know, not truly Greek but it's still my favorite statue of her counterpart.) The textile pattern is loosely derived from the Peleus Wedding dinos (which is my favorite pottery depiction of Hesta, as limited as it is). Even though Hestia is in the back of Demeter and hard to see, I was able to make out some details of the dress. The last reference comes from "divine intervention" and I will say nothing more than that. The tripod is a reconstruction of one from the Delfi Museum. The cock motif is based on a much lesser-known sacred story of Hestia coming from Korfu and the villages around Igoumenitsa. The necklace and bracelets are loosely based on artifacts from the National Museum. As to the dress color, some may be questioning why she is not wearing white: primarily because I never see Hestia dressed in white. Second, the Ancient Greeks never attributed WHITE with Virginity. That came actually came later on in history.
Lady Hestia is very delighted to see you!
