My roomate and I are trans, disabled and homeless. We are still waiting on the check from my family member's will to come which will allow us to get an apartment. A combination of legal issues, covid issues, and the relative taking care of things being elderly has made things take much longer than anticipated. We are in a hotel though, and although my roomate is sick due to pneumonia combined with mold contact, we are okay. We really need food and money for our hotel and storage bills though. The storage bill is almost $500 because of late fees. We owe about $300 to the hotel rn.

We still need help to stay in the hotel until we can get an apartment when the check comes in 3 weeks. We also badly need food.

Once we get an apartment, we will be able to get rent assistance, food bank orders, and a lot more assistance not really practically available when we don't have a stable address. We will also be able to make money more because most of the ways we make money require the supplies we had to put in storage.

My roomate has antibiotics coming, and they came but uh, its less than a 1/4th of a course of them. And this is like, a huge issue, he will go off of them and just get worse, 3 days of antibiotics never help anyone. We need money to keep up with bill, still need food money, but now also this.

Call me Ben, I am 21 years old and I am an atheist transgender woman living in a  country where its a big sin to be homosexual or transgeder. The sentence is 14 years imprisonment if caught or reported with evidence.

I have been living an undercover life for four years now, my family are extremely religious and wouldn't let it slide if they get to know about me. My uncle suspected me once, he told my parents and they promised to hand me to the Feds if the suspicions a true. My mom (who is lenient)promised to send me to corrective therapy and never allowed access to the outside world until I'm sane (they see my originality as insanity).

I can't keep this cover up for much longer, already I'm raising eyebrows and so many are watching my every step. I'm scared, and all I ask Is be what I want in a safe environment. I don't want to face 14years jail term nor want to be looked up in a corrective therapy.

I'm calling on the LGBTQ.

I want to move out to a neighbouring country where Its not a crime to be who/what you want to be.

The money is to cover my travel expenses and living expenses until I reach a place where I can create my own income.

Black Queer person seeking financial help...

Long story short I’ve been struggling since May, my landlord illegally kicked me out of room that I was renting because of my service dog.

Since then I have been renting a room at this motel week by week which is $450 which is almost impossible

I’ve been trying to keep working but my hours of course has been cut a lot and I spend most of my money on food for me and my dog and transportation to work.

Hey at this point on this post I've had a death threat for being Jewish, harassment, and very nasty and persistent antisemitism. And I have been spending a lot of my time correcting ignorance and answering people's questions in the notes of this post. I've been having some financial issues lately, just today got notified I have to pay about $100 in fees after moving out

Please help a disabled trans woman replace her phone! hey my phone is quickly becoming completely unusable due to a broken screen and touch sensor. I was gonna finance a new phone through my dad’s cell plan, but it’s at its credit limit. Fixing my phone will be $110, paying off one of the phones on the account so we can finance another will be at least $95, and buying a new phone outright is around $200 (before a case, cause I live in a house with stone floors, and that’s what’s caused this whole problem in the first place.) Anyway if anyone can help out, I’d like to be able to just outright buy a new phone and not have to worry about financing, but if that’s not possible, at least being able to finance another working phone.

Some of y’all may have seen me post about my friend, Tim Nash.

Tim is a formerly incarcerated person who was held in a cage for two years at the discretion of the state of Alabama, which denied him bond, probation, and work release despite not posing a risk to himself or others. While in prison, he contracted Hep C.

After he was released, Tim was homeless. He moved back to Pittsburgh and found work, but suffered a serious injury to his shoulder (major labrum tear). Thanks to community support, he was able to get surgery to repair his shoulder at the beginning of the year and obtain housing to be able to recover and get back to work.

During the surgery, the doctors discovered a mass. Leiomyosarcoma, a smooth muscle cell cancer. After removing and identifying the tumor, they had Tim do a full scan. It’s metastatic, multiple tumors in his system.

With a sponsorship and a grant (discount), the treatments of Yervoy and Opdivo for Tim’s cancer will still cost $5,000 a session for four treatments, so $20,000. All while Tim is still recovering from his first surgery, doesn’t have a car, and can’t work.

Tim’s already been struggling to afford rent, food, and meds. He’s lost a massive amount of weight. His pain is exceeding what the meds he’s prescribed can handle so he can’t sleep or keep food down. Two nights ago it got so bad he checked into the hospital and they found a blood infection.

He was given IV antibiotics to get the infection under control, and they sent him home yesterday with two more prescriptions to fill. Things keep stacking up and it feels like we can’t catch a break.

Tim needs help, and I can’t do it alone. I need your help to take care of my friend. If you know of any resources in the Pittsburgh, PA area, please reach out and let me know.

I know many of us are struggling right now, for myriad reasons personal and public in nature. I know it’s a lot to ask for help in this space and time. I don’t know what else to do, and time keeps moving up the deadlines.
