These are absolutely gorgeous, and are WILDLY more culturally sympathetic to the source cultures that "inspired" (which is an absolutely horseshit term to use, considering the nauseatingly racist way that inspiration was utilized, though I will reluctantly concede that environmental similarities between Bedouin groups and the Tuskens are somewhat reflected in their nomadic lifestyles with heavy importance placed upon their livestock, as well as their longer, full-coverage clothing that lends well to arid and sandy terrain) the Tuskens.
I always like to imagine that the Tuskens have a very strong tradition of sharing oral histories and a rich material culture, both of which are heavily shielded from outsiders. And why wouldn't they be? The vast majority of the interactions that Tuskens have with anyone outside of their tribe result in violence and ignorance, loss of their ancestral land, and ultimately a drastic interruption of their lifestyle.
But imagine a Tusken culture of rich bantha wool textiles, dyed with native plants and woven with intricate patterns that perhaps delineate family ties or tell stories and histories. Imagine jewelry like OP illustrated above, jewelry with emotional and cultural significance, jewelry crafted with materials and in ways that no one that had not lived generations in the Tattooine deserts would know or understand. Imagine a culture with significance woven into every fiber of its material history, imagine deities and stories and history and the beauty of a people who have taken a cruel environment and made it home and made it beautiful.
What if, whenever the Tuskens venture out with the knowledge that they may meet an outsider, they only wear their plainest clothes, in an effort to preserve what little bits of their culture that outsiders have not managed to destroy, yet? What if they have decided that being feared and condemned as savages is the lesser evil than losing more of their land or lifestyle?
Star Wars may have presented the Tuskens from the perspective of the colonizers (ie. off-worlder moisture farmers and the like), but I love the Tuskens and just think it's nice to think about.
