See, I love the chapter in Rhythm of War where Adolin drags Kaladin to the tavern but promises him that he won't make him talk. The narration makes a big deal out of the fact that Adolin "outsmarted" Kaladin when getting him to give a treatment plan for Shallan, but Adolin actually outsmarted Kaladin a moment before that, too. Adolin said he wouldn't make Kaladin talk, and he doesn't, but he DOES let an awkward silence hang, which Kaladin eventually fills. The funniest thing about that is that, just a few chapters before and narratively only a few hours before, Dalinar tried the same tactic on him, and Kaladin didn't fall for it, which the narration comments on. But he totally fell for the same trick when Adolin tries it and Kaladin doesn't even notice!
Sometimes you learn something that makes you so happy. I recently learned two things:
1. Hoid not having a mullet in the art of Tress of the Emerald Sea depicting his confrontation with the sorceress was a mistake, an oversight that Howard Lyon, Brandon Sanderson, and the art continuity team all managed to miss.
2. Howard Lyon decided, in either a great move or a terrible one, to demonstrate what would have happened had they not made that mistake.
Together, these led to learning something that makes me so so happy: the existence of Hoid, mullet edition!
Felt and the Cosmere
I stole his look. The white hair spray was terrible and did not work.
Happy Halloween!

All I could think of was Wax running up staircase t the end of Bands of Mourning and noticing that he might be getting too old for this.
Also I just enjoy drawing him. and as an appendix to this: @curlytale and I were musing how Wax didn’t throw his back out in TLM, I suggested that surely Steris would have penned out a proper training schedule and then @priscellie threw in the idea of them doing scadrian yoga each morning. :D how could I not sketch this!?
I am going to try and hide at the convention. So a 3D printed copper symbol to the seekers at the convention who manage to pierce my copper cloud and recognise my cosplay.

From twitter: Draw your fave(s) in traditional clothing from your country NOW
So Argentine history context: pre-independence cuyo gaucho outfit for Vin, and civil war "federal barbarian" General Kaladin (sans hat. it messes the hair up)
Neither can fucking stand the upper class. Good for them
12 stone //SPOILER Rhythm of War
Our resident willshaper shaping through some stone. :)
image description: First image is a blurred version of the next with the handwritten text: Spoiler for Rhythm of War . The second image is a depiction of Venli, seen from a window she is shaping in a wall of stone. She wears a white, loose dress gathered with a bread leather belt and a colorful rope round her waist. She looks up at her hands gliding over the edge of the hole in the rock. Both her hands and her eyes are glowing brightly with stormlight.

... a semi-Kholin?
building off of my earlier post about kell's scars, heres a rough sketch of how i imagine them (+ some notes!). couldn't quite get them to pop out as much as i'd like to (if it were fully rendered, i'd have added some more depth to them to show their layered effect) but overall i'm satisfied with it. aphantasia is a real bitch when it comes to having to imagine and draw things like this though :^P what're y'all's thoughts?
