Thank you! And I just saved and saved and saved until I had enough money to put a deposit down! That’s it. And I’m lucky enough to have a partner to move in with so we’re going 50:50 on bills and mortgage etc :) But the whole process was very easy, much more easier than I expected!

Am I the only one iffy about art commissions for fics and similar situations where fandom gets monetised? I understand the allure: you get a beautiful piece of art based off of something you’ve written, your fic gets a boost and the artist gets paid doing something they enjoy. However, I think it threatens the core of what fandom is. At least what fandom has always been for me: a labour of love and excitement in which everyone participates on a somewhat equal playing field.

If you inject money into it, it immediately becomes inequal. It’s hard enough as it is to become, for example, a somewhat popular fandom writer, but it’s _possible_ if you’re a hard-working writer with a passion for what you’re doing (and maybe a smidgen of pure, dumb luck). With art commissions for fics gaining traction, it’ll soon not be enough to be a good writer. You’ll have to be rich too.

besides every sterek fic i read has stiles 17/18/or over. i have never read a fic where derek and stiles are together where stiles is 16 or below.

Hi! Years ago I read an awesome sterek fic and I was wondering if you could help me find it... Derek was Scott's older brother like significantly older. Their dad left when they were young. Derek would pick Scott up from school and talk to Stiles' Mom who dies from cancer. They kiss on New Years before stiles turns 18 and it's his first kiss. I don't remember much else but it's a super slow build
