They care so much about player safety at Worlds… and it keeps surprising me!
They stop play for a sharpened metal blade on the ice.
They stop play for a skater’s missing helmet.
They make them tighten their chinstraps.
They stop play for a goalie that’s down.
They actually make sure a player is okay before they start play back up.
NONE of this is done in the NHL. And that’s so sad.
#wow#I havent watched any of the worlds#but this sounds amazing#especially after what happened to dallas#the metal blade#missing helmet#chinstraps#those are important but smaller things#the fact that if someone is down on the ice play should be stopped#idc who the fuck has the puck#and you make sure they are ok before play starts again#the nhl really needs to adopt this#i dont wanna hear thatll make the game boring#just because something is made more safe#doesnt make it boring#you want to watch someone get knocked out?#sent to the hospital?#go watch fights then#i want my guys to be safe#and be able to have long careers#they are all very talented#and being taken away from what they love#because of an injury that could of been prevented#why wouldnt you want that?#there are so many times a player has to exert himself while hurt#to get off the ice because the play isnt blown dead#that is complete bull shit#this person is hurt#and could possibly hurt themselves even more by moving too much#but no lets keep play going!
