Annie - A BGC Simblreen Collection
The 1982 version of Annie starring Aileen Quinn was one of my favorite movies growing up. All of us kids in the neighborhood spent countless hours acting the story out, and I'm pretty sure I still have the soundtrack memorized to this day.
You may be wondering why I did not make the outfit Annie wore while she lived at the orphanage. The reason I chose these four in particular is because they were featured in a 1982 Sears catalog. Girls could choose outfits inspired by the movie, or contemporary ones with the Annie logo.
All items are in my Combined Diary palette with a few swatches added or removed. The movie dress is a mesh edit of @linzlu's Samantha collection. There is some weird texture on the fingernails. This comes from the original mesh, and shouldn’t be very visible. The sailor dress uses a collar from @waxesnostalgic.

Growing up, the 1982 version of Annie was one of my favorite movies. My neighbors and I used to act out the orphanage scenes. I’ve seen the 1999 version many times as well, and the musical when it came to Portland several years ago.
I will admit that Annie CC has been in the back of my mind for a while. Maybe I’ll move it up my to-do list 🤔😉

Lady Amalia absolutely adores dresses and when not dressing up her dolls, she enjoys going through her own clothes and trying them on. While she and Miranda have similar wardrobes, Amalia's is much more feminine and fancy.

As a ward of a duke and duchess, Miranda enjoys finely made clothes, even if they are simpler compared to the couple's children. (Let's be real even if Byron claims to not want the title, he definitely enjoys the benefits and can be subconsciously classist) Her style is more practical than anything, which makes it easier to have fun.

Steggy Week 2024 - Day 7 (Free Choice)
I wanted to revisit my Western AU from last year because even though Horse Ranch is one of my favorite packs, I haven't played around with it much. First I de-modernized one of the small ranch houses in Chestnut Ridge. Then I updated Steve and Peggy's wardrobes to fit the mid-1800s (with a few modern fillers when I couldn't find something I liked). Each outfit that has a hat also has a duplicate without the hat.
- Everyday: Bonnet, dress.
- Formal: Snood hair and accessory, net overlay, dress.
- Athletic: Bonnet, dress.
- Sleep/swim: Nightgown.
- Party: Bonnet, dress*.
- Hot Weather: Bonnet, dress.
- Cold weather: Bonnet, dress.
- Necklace.

Steggy Week 2024 - Day 6 (WIPs and Updates)
As we inch ever so slowly towards the Big Day, it occurred to me that Steve and Peggy don't have very high relationships with their friends. They threw bachelor and bachelorette parties several months ago but with Peggy's work schedule as a secret agent, she doesn't have much time for socialization.
At this point I have almost all of the canon characters I want to include in this save, with perhaps the exception of Colonel Phillips. Peggy's brother Michael has been reunited with the family, the details of which I'll develop as time goes on.

Even though I've stated previously that Bucky is not going to be rescued in my storyline, I decided that the wedding would be an exception. Honestly, I find it funny that he decided to sit with Peggy's mother at the party. Steve is probably cringing at the stories Bucky is telling of their childhood.

Steggy Week 2024 - Day 5 (Inspired By)
This scene is inspired by @roboticonography's story Except Perhaps in Spring, in which Steve and Peggy find themselves pretending to be engaged during a chance encounter with Peggy's ex-fiancé Fred.
The story is very entertaining, and I highly recommend giving it a read. As I was going through to get my visual inspiration, the Howling Commandos' teasing banter made me chuckle.
What wasn't nearly as funny was trying to get nine Sims to sit down at the same time. It's trickier than herding cats! To make matters worse, thanks to the romantic boundaries update Peggy thought that she saw Steve cheating on her, and wanted to break up with him. Meanwhile Steve was feeling proud of himself for staying loyal to Peggy. Needless to say I did not save the game after this...
Steggy Week 2024 - Day 4 (Outsider POV)
If I'm ever going to get around to Steve and Peggy's wedding, I'm going to need Peggy's parents, Harrison and Amanda Carter. For Amanda I was inspired by the episode of Agent Carter that flashes back to the events leading up to Peggy joining the SOE. For Harrison I just used Peggy's genetics.
(I felt like today’s entry warranted a fleshed-out story. It’s been a while since I’ve written a narrative, and I do feel out of practice!)

Steggy Week 2024 - Day 3 (AUs and Crossovers)
I was surprised that Multiverse/What If wasn't one of the themes for this year, especially since there was a new season to draw from.
(Light spoilers ahead).
One of the plotlines has Captain Carter travel to 1602, where she meets a Robin Hood version of Steve. He tells her about his lost love, Lady Margaret. I want to see more of that backstory and what might have happened to the Elizabethan Peggy.
As I was in CAS, I quickly realized that Lady Margaret ended up looking like Snow White because I wanted to keep with the red, white and blue color scheme. So, an extra crossover?
