- From the beginning, there has always been a village and a Hokage that leads it. No one knows what came before.
- “How horrible!” say the villagers about the Uchiha Massacre. The sole survivor still lives in the clan compound.
- “The new generation will surpass the old,” say the adults as the children continue to parallel their predecessors in everything they do.
- “I’m going to be Hokage,” says Naruto Uzumaki. No one thinks to ask what he’s going to do if he accomplishes his goal.
- The Academy textbooks say that there is chakra in everything and that chakra is life itself. After the war, people say that all chakra came from a woman named Kaguya Ootsutsuki. You don’t know which version is true.
- The Sharingan can copy techniques. The Sharingan can cast unbreakable illusions. The Sharingan can conjure flames that burn brighter than the sun. The Sharingan can create an impenetrable defense. The Sharingan can alter reality itself. Is there anything the Sharingan can’t do?
- Itachi Uchiha is heralded as a hero. No one ever tells you why.
- Naruto Uzumaki is always right. Always.
- The world is at peace, but the village doesn’t change. There is still a ninja Academy. There is still a Hokage.
