@hildanasr1 has been trying to get her whole family out of Gaza since the beginning of this new atrocious period of the Genocide that the Palestinian people have been suffering for far too long.

Their situation is getting worse, because in addition to enduring the incessant shelling and living in a tent overcrowded with bugs and snakes with 9 other people, getting food on a daily basis is becoming more and more difficult. In addition to all this, Hilda is pregnant for the first time in a place where the health system is constantly on the verge of absolute collapse.

Please help her and her family in any way you can, either by donating or by writing a post like this one so that her story reaches more people and she can get the help she needs.

hilda @hildanasr1 has been fundraising on her family's behalf for over three months. today her campaign reached €2,000!!

this is fantastic news, but still only 4% of her overall goal. hilda is campaigning to raise €50,000 to help evacuate her family to egypt, to eat and stay warm as temperatures drop in gaza, and to provide for her baby. (ETA: while the rafah crossing is currently closed, it could open at any time.) she is in a state of constant uncertainty and terror. let's come together and alleviate some of her worry and pain.

The weather is very cold, and the tents are worn out from the summer heat. The children scream from the intense cold and the darkness of the night. There is no electricity, the water is contaminated, no education, no healthcare, and no medicine. Pregnancy has exhausted me, and I wonder how my child will survive in these conditions if they arrive. There are not even vaccinations or clothes for children. Some of my relatives are covering their children with pieces of plastic to protect them from the cold due to the lack of any income sources. In addition, the sounds of bombing, gunfire, and drones mimic the sounds of wild animals and screaming to frighten people in their sleep. We don't know how long this suffering will last or if we will truly be able to endure it."

i am making this post again because @hildanasr1 has received NO DONATIONS in 17 hours!!

i don't know what else to say. my friend hilda is pregnant, living out of a tent, exhausting herself trying to fundraiser for her family, which includes her teenage sister and her very young niece and nephew. she's kept awake by the sound of gunfire and by endless worries, not just for whether or not her family will survive the night, but for what they'll do when the baby is born. how will they afford basic necessities like food, diapers, and clothing? she's been fundraising for three months and is only at 3% of her goal. please help her.

even though @hildanasr1 has been fundraising on here for several months and been vetted by mohammed ayesh w gazaevacuationfunds since october 9, her family has barely received any donations.

on top of surviving under constant shelling, losing all sense of stability, living with nine people crammed into a tiny tent afflicted by snakes and insects, struggling to find adequate food every day, and the terror of being pregnant (!!) for the first time when healthcare infrastructure is constantly at the brink of collapse--hilda has to go through the demeaning, frustrating process of navigating tumblr and twitter to ask for help. she endures constant disappointment and annoyance because it's her family's best shot to survive.

this is exhausting. these people are exhausted! what else does she have to do to win our attention and sympathy?
