Black Strawhat AU, created by me and a friend. Here, Luffy started as a marine, still given the hat by Shanks. The black cloth is to hide the marine band, the scar was made by Morgan when he meet Zoro. Made with copic markers , and Washitape.
The fact that both these characters have the same VA, the same personality and the same coolness... makes them the perfect husband for a gall like me.
Ill defend these boys(and yokai) with my life.

A little something that I made for an AU that me and @seishinhermy came up with for One Piece
From a huge “what-if” that have been floating around: What if luffy started as a marine just like Garp wanted, but became a pirate later after meeting Zoro.
Along with a diferent scar and backstory to it, diferent outfits post-timeskip and a more serious personality, this luffy has alot more diferences compared to his canon version....especially the infamous scene where he meets his brother. We saved a really “dark” version for that(no, they dont fight....but it has to do with the scarf that he’s using on his left arm”

Got into One piece again.
Me and @seishinhermy were discussing several theories regarding Luffy’s true origins as well as his supposed connection to Gol D. Roger.
After so many theories, one of them being Luffy being Roger’s reencarnation by him eating a “reencarnation akuma no mi” type(similar to Brook’s akuma no mi), we also talked about(and started as a joke) how Shanks could be Luffy’s true father.
Sure there are theories that Luffy is indeed from Roger’s family(due to the similarities), and like many other fans we dont really see any resemblance between Dragon and Luffy whatsoever so when i was re-watching “luffy’s episode” and “the Hand island special”, I noticed alot of similarities between him and shanks, as well as some behavior of Shanks towards Luffy.
Sure, Shanks can be only that one pirate who has a really good heart but....would he give his hat, that precious straw-hat that was given to him by Gol D. Roger, to a random kid that said he wanted to be King of the Pirate? Even if Shanks was really a good friend of Luffy’s?
We saw how Shanks was already an old acquaintance and friend of Luffy’s town’s menbers, but its that a reason to give that treasure to some kid?
So, the final headcanon and theory we came up was: Luffy is Roger’s reencarnation by some legendary “reencarnation” akuma no mi and was born to Shanks and his girlfriend/wife.
Of course we came up with all this after studying the series and finding almost every piece of evidence we came across, like how Dragon’s wasnt really part of luffy’s life or we never actually saw his mother, seeing more Garp than Luffy’s parents; and also how everyone is saying how Luffy looks and sounds exactly like Roger when he was young.
