So I'm finally creating a tumblr to post one of my many AUs on, and I decided I'd create a Masterpost right away since these seem pretty important.

Summary:

I know this is a huge thing to be keeping a secret, the young turtle thought, but we already share everything with each other. I just want this one thing to myself.

Dude same. I'm kinda surprised with how long I've stuck with these turtles, even with a few brief forays into other hyperfixations. But then I stop and think about it, and remember that I've always loved turtles since I was a little girl, and ninjas are objectively cool, and also these ninja turtles are SIBLINGS and have SIBLING SHENANIGANS which I can 100% relate to, so perhaps it was inevitable that these guys would become a lifelong interest lol

@remedyturtles absolutely killing it with the latest chapters of their firefight fic. The last third of ch.37 was so fuckin eerie and tense and visually rich that I couldn't NOT make some art inspired by it. I've been hankering to draw something more experimental and dark lately, and this really scratched that itch!

Finally finished the coloured pages for the first part of the comic, with a lot of help from @alcadanon !

Unfortunately cannot post them yet because we didn't have time to take pictures, and the good light will be gone by the time we're home. So.

Comic update tomorrow!!!!! Yay!

And Al will be doing the colouring for Leo's portion from now on, probably.

i do find writing the SRTUC cast into ROTTMNT via making them work at Hueso's hilarious. like have you Met those guys?? Usagi wouldn't work at a pizzeria, Gen works odd jobs and the other four live on his back

I just think it would be funny if Leo was born with the ability to see auras but has 0 idea that this is not normal, and then just naturally assumes when people talk about ‘vibe checks’ they’re checking the mood of someone’s aura.

From what I'm getting all the brothers made some friends on their own [Don with a witch(?), Leo with Hueso(&his kid &maybe Usagi), Raph with a minotaur lady and Mikey with the mud dogz? I think?], and went off on their own adventures. My question is, if you want to rant about it, why didn't they tell their siblings at some point? And speaking of siblings and sibling-like friends, what about April? Does she appear in the au, and/or know anything of what's going on?

I feel like I can ask a lot about this au. But for now I'll try to reasonably pace the questions to not seem overwhelming💗💗

Anyway, the point of this AU is kinda for the boys to get some independence from each other? I'm going off of my own experience with three siblings, so basically they're all sick and tired of having to share every little thing that they have, and they just wanna keep one thing to themselves.

And sure, that "one thing" happens to be pretty major, but hey, young kids have weird logic/perspective sometimes.

I do kinda wanna fit April into the au but I'm not sure how... might just give her a separate arc with her meeting and befriending Cassandra? I haven't really thought about this AU in a month because I've been busy with artfight

Also, in case it wasn't quite clear I guess I'll just tell you which characters they each befriend:

Leo befriends Hueso, Usagi, and Hueso Jr.

Donnie befriends the witch girl from the episode "Donnie vs Witch Town", and possibly also the bat librarian

Mikey makes friends with Mickey, before he became a criminal or joined the mud dogz, and drags him into doing petty vandalism (aka graffiti) with him

Raph joins a yokai knitting club, which includes the minotaur lady from the maze of death, and also Sunita's grandmother. Minotaur lady kinda becomes a mentor for Raph, and the googly lady introduces him to her granddaughter. So he's also friends with Sunita.

Oh yeah, I remember now, the point of this AU is to put the boys through a bunch of silly shenanigans as kids and see how close I can shove them without them realizing what the others are up to. It's just silly fluff that I'm gonna have fun with, so I say they're not gonna tell each other XD
