They say if you can capture 1 good picture a month, you're doing well as a photographer. There's something inside of many of us, a drive to create and share what we do. You can't ignore it, and you can't cheat it. We constantly strive to improve; to do bigger, better and more. The path is not always straight forward and the results are not always positive, but when you take a step back, and consider where you were last year, you can see the changes you've made, for better and for worse, and see where you've come from. I believe everyone has their own timeline. Some of us already know what we want to create, and others are still finding it. Few ever will find it.
I personally feel like i've not moved far this year. My work has definitely improved, but there was always this push to do more, which I never quite got round to satisfying. I definitely could have planned more trips, and found new places to explore with my camera. I've been everywhere locally now, and there's not much left here for me to grow, so it's time, in 2017, to start working on some new ideas.
