The Mystical Forest
Finland is bilingual country, we speak both Finnish and Swedish - in theory. In practice then, it’s a whole another story. This is a photo from Finnish hospital. On left there’s guides in Finnish and on the right there’s “Samma på svenska”, literally “the same in swedish”.

Kummakivi or “Strange Rock” can be found in the forests of Finland. These strange geological formation have, without any scientific explanation, wound up in a perplexing positions. The mystifying sight is that of a giant rock performing an unbelievable balancing act on a seemingly smooth, curved mound.
Some Finnish folklore explains the odd locations of these giant stones by saying that trolls (or giants) carried, threw or rolled them there.
These aren’t unexplained. They’re boulder deposits from glaciers in the last ice age that when they retreated across Finland and Northern Europe, left huge lumps of rock picked up from elsewhere. The boulder is of a harder rock type than the mother rock below, which erodes faster. So you’ve got a big hard boulder resting on top of stone it protects from erosion.
