- Piltover totally has that view that the more unique a daemon is, the more interesting is the person, so they totally judge people by their daemons
- That’s exactly how Jayce catches the Kiramman’s eye: his class was full of parrots and jays and rats his bat, as small as she is, stood out
- It also made Caitlyn feel all kinds of inadequate when her daemon settled as a hare, she didn’t think she was worthy of being an enforcer but Grayson shut that down
- Tobias in all his trophy husband glory has a very pretty, dignified horse and Cassandra has a Tiger
- Grayson’s daemon is a female griffon vulture, people always looked at her weirdly for it but she never bothered
- Vi’s daemon settled a couple of weeks after Vander started teaching her to fight. Powder was the one that noticed he hadn’t changed from his great dane form in a while and that’s when they realized
- Ekko’s daemon only settled after he found the tree, a little after his fifteenth birthday, into a harpy eagle. Jinx felt a little betrayed when it happened because his daemon also being unsettled made her feel closer to him
- Jinx’s daemon hasn’t settled yet, and while enjoys the freedom and variety of forms she was upset that after her “baptism” he could still change
- Birds are very common in Piltover but very rare in the Lanes, people there just have little to no connection with the feeling of freedom living topside provides

- When they were young Vi and Powder used to sleep in a cuddle pile and you could never tell which daemon belonged to who
- Daemons in the undercity also tend to be smaller, because touching random people in the street can still feel uncomfortable, so the smaller the space they take the easier it is to navigate the streets
- Ambessa was disappointed when Mel’s daemon settled as a python, and as much as she denies it Mel knows it was the biggest reason why she was sent away
- Sevika’s daemon is a wolverine because honestly there’s no other sane choice, same with Vander and his wolfdog
- Yordles don’t have daemons. Heimerdinger got a Poro as an experiment because he wanted to know what it felt like to have a daemon
- Viktor wanted to tell him how incredibly offensive that was but it was way too funny watching people’s reaction, so he didn’t
- Viktor’s daemon is an octopus and she’s always perched on his head or shoulders, he’s very glad she’s always close, he needs the emotional support (imo aquatic daemons don’t need to live on water they’re made of dust so that’s dumb, but also Viktor with a backpack full of water so his dae can be more comfortable)
