My name is Mohammed, and I'm reaching out from a place of unimaginable hardship. My family, like so many others in Gaza, is struggling to survive each day. The conflict has taken a heavy toll on our lives, leaving us to face a grim reality, our home has been destroyed, and we are left with nowhere safe to go. 😔
I am the father of three beautiful children, and as a parent, nothing is more painful than watching your kids grow up, surrounded by fear and destruction. Mirn, Bark, and Mariar are the light of my life, but they've never known the joy of running through a park without fear, or playing freely like children should. ❤️
We've reached a point where staying here is no longer an option. The walls that once sheltered us now stand in ruins, and hope for a safe future is fading fast. We dream of rebuilding, not just our home, but our lives, somewhere free from the daily fear of war, where my children can sleep peacefully and smile again. 🕊️

Did you know that the US National Confectioners Association recognises four different chocolate days a year?
These are World Chocolate Day on July 7th, National Chocolate Day on both October 28th and December 28th, and International Chocolate Day on September 13th. I have no idea what distinguishes International Chocolate Day from World Chocolate Day, nor why the US needs two different National Chocolate Days in addition to the two others. I'm not complaining. I just have no idea.
September 13th, in particular, was chosen in honour of the Hershey's founder, Milton S Hershey, who was born on this date.
Are you proud, Milton? There's a Silver Label Collectors Barbie just for you.
I find her deeply charming, actually. She is in a party dress that looks like a Hershey's Kiss. I can't argue with that. It's a cute idea and it's well-executed.

Our house was destroyed by the bombing, but my husband went out for treatment outside Gaza. I live only with suffering in a tent in the middle of a street in Khan Yunis. We live with difficulties and the heat of the sun inside the tents does not reach my little sisters. The occupation deprived me of my husband and then my studies in laboratory medicine, where they helped me to meet my husband and achieve my dream. Funds for Haiti and Haitian Americans
- A Haitian American woman with long Covid and her daughter with cancer have both been struggling to raise funds that would help them during their illnesses. Both of them live in the Midwest, which is where a lot of the most recent fear mongering has been centered.
- COJEHA is a Haitian organization that provides financial support for youth, teaches agricultural skills, helps ensure children attend school, and teaches other soft life skills. They're working on building a farm with fish and vegetable crops where teaching occurs, which will also increase local access to fresh food.
- P4H Global is the organization that has been working on building the canal connected to the Massacre River, another agricultural project. They have also been working to support education in Haiti, with both teachers and students.
- The Haitian Community Center in Springfield, Ohio. Springfield's food bank, community health center, and a local Catholic organization that provides aid are also accepting donations.
- Richard Pierrin is a journalist who has had to flee Haiti and is trying to get a visa that will allow him to work, and that doesn't end after 3 months.
- Marc Henry and his family have been dealing with food insecurity for months, and are trying to get funds so they can eat, as well as supplies like livestock and fishing equipment so they can sustain themselves even after the fundraiser is done. They're close to their goal.
- An elderly couple's home was damaged multiple times over the last few years and they are trying to raise funds to finish construction. They are also very close to their goal.
- A fundraiser for children in Jacmel to provide food, water, and clothes.
- A fund for several families to secure plane tickets out of the country
- OTRAH is an organization that helps trans Haitians and wants to expand their services to combat HIV. They don't have a gofundme, instead donations are discussed over email.
- There is also this thread of Haitian gofundmes which updates fairly regularly
- This document explaining the leadup to where we are now also names some organizations that could use financial support

Hello, everyone. I'm making this new post in hopes of revitalizing Youssef's campaign which is stagnating. Youssef is NINETEEN YEARS OLD and he bears the crushing responsibility of keeping his family alive during a genocide. In Youssef's words:
"Every day is a new battle. I work long hours, searching in the corners of the camp for any opportunity that allows me to earn some money. Fatigue grips me, but I can't afford to give up. My father is sick, trapped in his pain, and his eyes plead for help. There are moments when I feel my heart shatter when I see his gaze; he endures his suffering in silence, but I know he is hurting. As for my little brother, despite his innocence, he is fighting hepatitis due to contaminated food that we are forced to eat."
After a few weeks of pretty consistent 20(+) per day donat1ons, suddenly we've dropped to FOUR in 24 hours! Youssef and his family are still struggling, so let's not give in halfway. Currently, we are at $7611/15000. Let's do our part and help relieve some of their suffering.

now more than ever, please vet gofundmes before you donate.
copy and paste descriptions into google to see if there are scam accounts reusing the same story, check to see if there are any images/updates on the fund with faces. go to the original blog, check if the post asking for help is only an hour old, or even less than that. refrain from donating if all it links to is a PayPal account, without any further confirmation of identity.
it’s horrible to say but it’s never been a better time for scam artists to exploit your generosity, when things seem so dire, and I’ve donated to campaigns before only to realise later that the entire story was stolen from an actual family in need. due diligence might take a few more minutes out of your day but at least you won’t be sending money to an opportunistic scumbag.
