things that always get me:

james and lily were 21 and they were already such domestic little fucks, married with a kid in their cottage in Godric’s Hollow, with their pet cat and ugly vases and birthday teas and gossip sessions with the old lady who lives down the street. its sweet but also kinda sad because they should have had the chance 2 be young and silly + carefree before they settled down into the most horribly boring and loved-up middle aged couple of all time 

Right now, all I can imagine is new parent James Potter, half-asleep and completely out-of-it, grabbing the first blanket-like thing in reach to wrap baby Harry in, before putting him down and going back to bed.

In the morning, Lily shoves him awake and snaps, “I can’t find the baby or your dumb Invisibility cloak.”

And James just stares at her, then realizes, “I have made a terrible mistake.”

I like how everyone sort of assumed that Harry was rich because his parents were aurors and The Potters were just old money. When in reality he’s rich bc he is the heir of a hairgel fortune
