The thing I’m super amused of when it comes to Sha Po Lang fandom is that the story is so plot driven and complicated with many characters and political manoeuvres that somebody has to create this google spreadsheet to help them keeping up with the stories.

Gu Yun writes a love letter
There are many plum trees by the crossing, wounded by the flames of war. The trunks are burnt, inhospitable to even insects. I believed they had died, but one day I saw these trees blooming as they met spring. It is both pitiful and endearing. The army is filled with those who do not know how to appreciate beauty. To them, admiring flowers is like playing music to an ox. So I plucked a branch for you to play with.
I wish I myself can cut many branches of plum blossoms for you in HouFu next spring.
