Why is Eira so stoic?
Eira has been through a lot in her life. She’s been on her own since she was six years old and pretty much ‘on the run’ so to speak as well. Because she’s a mage, she was very untrusting of people until she got close to someone in her late teens/early twenties. She doesn’t talk about it but all I know is it ended badly and caused her to close herself off even more.
Even in the beginnings of Inquisition, she struggles to trust even those she feels she should be able to trust. Vivienne is really the first person she opens up too and gets close with. She has a lot of respect for her and sees her as a mentor figure very early on.
The only person though that she’s truly let in is Harding and even then its in pretty small doses. Harding recognizes this in her and is constantly reassuring her that things can go at the pace of Eira’s choosing and that is very comforting for her.
I love her and would die for her.
