Character asks: 5 and 16 for leli

Avatar

Number 5 was evil, Mortt!

5- What do you not like about this character?

Honestly, there isn't much of anything that I really dislike about Leliana - that is without saying she does have significant flaws, like I believe her overreliance and dependency on others. However, if I had to choose, it is probably initial intense religiosity that Leliana displayed in the beginning of Origins, such as introducing herself as someone that the Maker had destined the Warden to meet. Even then, it fits her character and serves a purpose for her overall character growth, so I cannot really say I dislike it. Leliana is almost entirely perfect in my eyes.

16- What do you think would improve this character? Like, character-arc wise?

Beside a romance path in Inquisition? I think that something that could had intensely improved Leliana's character would be a more foundational relationship with the Inquisitor, even as a platonic friend. Even excluding Josephine and Cullen's romance paths, they had a distinctly multi-leveled relationship or at least is displayed more vividly to have a stronger relationship with the Inquisitor than Leliana. Personally, they could had rectified it by having Leliana as a companion - as they did with Varric - or have her more actively interact with other characters in Skyhold, like being at the Wicked Grace scene. I love DAI, but Leliana always felt as if she was pushed away to the sidelines, secluded, even after you softened her at the end of her quests.

And even if you go and do the Templar route, which opens up with more scenes with Leliana, there is not a stronger connection between Calpurnia and Leliana as there is Samon and Cullen. They do share some similarities, such as crisis in faith, similar poltiical ideals and such, but Calpurnia does not serve as a foil or reflection as Samson was to Cullen, which I think was a missed opportunity, especially if they wanted to go down with the hardened, emotionally-deposed Leliana everyone seems to hint her as being as the Left Hand.

Mainly missed opportunities, I feel, from BioWare could had helped Leliana a lot, so people wouldn't say she is just there just because.

Idk how this works but imagine Leliana being sandwiched between Amayian and Zam, being endlessly teased by them and the fucked till she can't bear her own weight. What's better than a dark haired husband? Two of them, at once ;) she's in the middle of the cuddle pile afterwards

Avatar

You did it exactly perfectly, Liz! ~ Absolutely. Having two magic, strong husbands would end any women, especially two as dedicated to Leliana's pleasure - and getting back for all her teasing - as these two are. They argue that she deserves it, that she should let go. They will carry her, all her burdens and fears, and love her until the sun's last flame had burned out. As well as that, she does not quite pretty pressed against Amayian and Zam. ;3

Get to know your otp: 13, 16, 19 :)

Avatar

Thank you for the ask.

13. What is the silliest thing your OTP would get into an argument/fight over?

Who has the better variety of cheese: Orlais or the Free Marches. While this has to do particularly with a Trevelyan Inquisitor, I could see a Cadash or a Lavellan feeling some level of pride over the cheeses of the Marches, especially if the Cadash has close relations with the Carta within Ostwick itself, which is famed for their cheese...or their barreling race of cheese. Either or, I can see them having a very playful argument over it. They drag Josie in to be the cheese judge - that is how far it would go.

16. Who has the higher pain tolerance?

That is really up to a person's Inquisitor. However, it would be a tough call regardless as Leliana definitely has one of the highest pain tolerance of any Dragon Age character. (She withstood a year of torture by the Venatori in DAI, after all) So, because of that, I'll lean it toward Leliana; though, the mark arguably is one of the most terrible pain a person could feel in Thedas no doubt, and falling down a shaft and landing with no bones broken, and still walking, is definitely evident the Inquisitor has a high pain tolerance.

19. What is their favourite form of affection? (e.g. cuddles, kisses, hand holding, compliments)

I can see Leliana tends to give plenty of compliments, even if they are a touch strange. Often littering it to the Inquisitor at night time, as well as some cuddles and kisses. But I also can see the Inquisitor being a person who desires cuddles most of all, mainly because hand-holding reminds them of the pain of losing their arm, and compliments is something they are shared in by everyone, so I'll argue they just prefer to relax with their head on Leliana's chest, and their hair being stroked and played with.

otp hc questions: 🍁 🖐 🕸 for Amayian and Leli :)

Avatar

Thank you for the ask!

🍁 - How was their first kiss?

Hesitant and soft, but also searching and wanting is how I would describe their first kiss. Leliana had been the one to pull his head down for a soft brush at the corner of his lips. Feeling foolish for doing so, she went to pull away, until Amayian slipped a hand through her locks, resting at the nape of her neck, asking if it's okay. When she nodded, he kiss her again, this time more firm, but still wandering, delicate, aware, and very much clumsy on Amayian's part. But if he sensed or felt a touch of uncertainty in Leliana, he was ready to pull away at a movement's notice.

🖐 - Who can’t keep their hands to themself?

Both, really. Leliana is a touch more sly and swift with her teaches - a faint stroke to the back of his hand, drawing close so their hips are pressed up against one another in the War Room, and things such as that. At the beginning at least, Amayian is a bit more brazen, grasping for her hand beneath the table in the War Room, pressing a kiss to her cheek when she is walking pass, and draw her close for a hug and lifting off the ground for some kisses in a corner of an unoccupied hall. He becomes sly as time progresses, but he very much likes touching Leliana, and her touching him. I think someone as touched starve as Leliana does not mind, not at all.

🕸 - What does one do that scares the other?

Drawing into themselves if they feel hurt for the both of them. They both have this problem where rather than sharing their agitations or worries, in the beginning at least, there are times that causes them to pull away, to hide their suffering beneath their armor. It is only for a little while, as they grapple with duty and love, but they slowly let ago of such worries, though for Amayian it is a bit harder since he does not get clues that he does something wrong that easily and he can panic if he is left in the dark, which causes himself to pull away. He's simply a mess. But Leliana recognizes that, and she is not afraid to say that he did something wrong, as long as he tells her the same.

Mmmmmm Leliana vs Varric

Avatar

Vs: Gosh, this is hard. While Bianca is a wonderful crossbow, I think Leliana wins the cake. If it’s a one on one, Varric might have a chance, but his crossbow is heavy and takes time to reload, in which case Leliana could easily swoop in with a swift cut to his neck or an arrow punctuating through.

Or: Leliana, obviously. I love Varric, but he isn’t Leliana - even if he is almost as glorious.

+: I see them more as friends, because of actual Bianca. They just seem like they can enjoy one another’s wit while respecting one another.

Inquisitor asks: 20 and 48 for Amayian and/or Alexandra

Avatar

Thank you for the ask, Mortt! <3 :D

20. Do they trust Morrigan?

Since I did Amayian's relationship with Morrigan here, I'll do Alexandra.

Alexandra does not trust Morrigan in the beginning - they both play the game, they're both coy at it, and Alexandra does respect her in that regards - especially from Leliana's warnings. But as time goes on, she respects Morrigan's intelligence, and sees her as a close confidant and friend, especially after they both save Kieran and Alexandra provided needed comfort from the whole ordeal.

48. What do they think about the Hero of Ferelden?

Alexandra: She hero-worships the Warden, especially because he too was a mage who rose from the constraints of the Circle to greatness. She thinks that he a noble call and was fascinated by the implications of him surviving the Blight after slaying the Archdemon compared to the other great heroes of the Blights, so that adds more to mythical pedestal she plays him on. He's actions is what further pushed in her mind the desire to become part of the Grey Wardens, and had the Conclave ended differently, she would had likely had joined.

Amayian: Amayian had two Heroes of Ferelden, one who lived and the other who died. The one who lived is named Ralea Tabris, and she is one of his closest friends and confidants. She often provided him with a comforted presence during the Blight, speaking up for him to Warden Surana when they thought of leaving Amayian behind near a darkspawn squadron in a burnt village. The other Warden, Fendris Surana he cared for greatly. Fendris took an darkspawn arrow for Amayian after the slaying of the Archdemon, and died because of that wound, and such Amayian has survivor's guilt due to it. He later saw his flaws in a more critical viewing - he could be harsh and indifferent to humans plights, but still he cared for the people he defended despite his words, so he no longer has a mythical viewing of the elf and saw him for what he was: a deeply flawed individual.

Colour asks: Def yellow, lime, cyan, lil bit of blue, white

Yellow - really pretty and cute mutual

Lime - you seem like you only drink monster energy

Cyan - you probably smell really nice

Blue - you’re incredibly intimidating for absolutely no reason

White - you’re a little funny a silly little clown

>~< I’m not cute. I actually never had a monster energy drink (one time I was offered but it was spiked) I do hope I smell nice. XD Aw. I try not to be that intimidating, I’m a dumbass. See? I’m a clown.

Gaming asks: 1, 12, 25, 37 :3

Avatar

Thank you for the ask!

1. First game you can remember playing?

Uhhh. I honestly think it was Super Mario Bros, which my dad let me play on the NES he had as a kid. I really loved it!

12. Most frustrating game to play?

Fucking Dark Souls III. God, that game destroys me. But somehow I still goddamn play it. It’s really fun, though.

25. Favorite boss battle?

...Don’t get mad...I really liked Corypheus’ boss battle. Would had it been cooler if there was more minions that you had to fight to get to him??? Absolutely, but the floating castle, the destruction around us, the epic breaking of his jaw???? The Inquisitor walking like a badass bitch and throwing that slut into the fade??? Hot, and I loved it.

37. Are you a completionist?

I am not, though there are some games, like DAI, that got to the point of playing for so long that I already am practically a completionist. But usually? Not really. XD

9 and/or 23 for Leliana and an Inquisitor of your choice ;)

Avatar

I’ll try my hand at both! I did not know what Inquisitor to use, since they’re all shit OCs, so I’m going to go with an unknown female dwarf Inquisitor.

9. Against the wall and 23. Trying new position

-

Leliana’s lips grazed against the curve of the Inquisitor’s ear, her long, pale fingers entangled in the dark curls of Cadash’s hair. “I have a new idea, ma amour,” purred Leliana, enjoying the sharp spike of breath that came from the small woman.

A whimper, and then, “What idea?” Her voice came shaky, a touch pitcher than usual. The tone sent a shiver up Leliana’s spin and warmth pooling between her thighs. Seeing the bravado that usually accompanied the Inquisitor slip away like water into a stream was a welcome to sight to Leliana. More than a mere pleasure to see the Inquisitor reduced to a stumbling, red-faced mess; a good enough payback for all the other times the dwarf sought to do the same to her, and succeed - though, those were rare and far between. Now, Leliana had the Inquisitor all to her self, and her mind went wild with ideas.

“I’ll have you against that wall over there, with your legs over my shoulders, and me having a treat that had been denied to me for far too long. Would that not be such a terrible idea, mon cherie?” Despite how she held her voice in a steady, low purr, Leliana felt her cheeks redden. She was never quite as good with flirtation as some would proscribe her. Not with those who held her affections in a iron-hold, at any least.

In truth, Leliana expected a laugh, some noise that would have confirmed her own foolishness; instead, what she had been given was another whimper, a pleading that need not be uttered in words. Leliana felt more relief than she should, and could not help to make her wicked smile turn into something softer, for a moment the spell of commanding pulled away into a intimidate pause. Kissing her cheek, Leliana heaved the woman up, grateful for her many years of archery. It left no little strength in her arms, though Cadash was still a touch heavier for her, but only just a touch. Even that was perfect in her eyes, however.

Cadash’s fingers, stout and strong from the two decades and a half whirling about a short half-moon axe, with a spike on the other side, cupped Leliana’s cheeks, drew circles into her flesh with a delicate touch. Scarred lips were soon pressed against her, needy and devouring, and it was Leliana’s turn to swallow down a moan that she could not keep from rising at the back of her throat. It was strange to hold Cadash like this; more often than not, it would be one of them on the bed, one between the others legs or the other straddling their face. They had went slow for Cadash, primarily because everything was more new to her than it was for Leliana. Yet, Leliana had never carried her partners before - she had been the one carried more often than not. It was nice, in a way, to hold Cadash like that in her arms.

She knew she had reached the wall when Cadash pressed against her, back curving a touch, and the coolness of the stones grazing across her knuckles. Leliana’s lips scattered kisses across her jaw, down her neck, and left marks on the peaking collarbone that begged to be touched with teeth and tongue. The soft moans that left Cadash’s lips were music to her ears, and Leliana sought more, left more marks behind to hear her music unfurled into the quietness of the Inquisitor’s bedchambers.

Unlacing the strings at Cadash’s blouse, Leliana pecked the valley of her breasts with gentle kisses and nibbles. In the paleness of the streaming moonlight, a misty silver which danced in the air and left floating dusts molt and glimmer, Cadash withered lightly in her hold, and Leliana pulled away, though reluctantly. She turned, Cadash’s fingers nudging away just a touch for her to press a kiss to her left palm, where the mark hummed ever so softly. “Shall we continue?”

A near breathless laugh. “Leli, I need to take off my pants first.”

Warmth swarmed her cheeks, and she hid her face from Cadash’s view, resting the woman back to the ground. When she did that, she did her best to hid the blush by the shadows of growing night. But Cadash’s smile never wavered, a little of her confidence returning as she unbuckled her breeches and slid it over her wide hips. Leliana would not lie and say that her eyes did not wander. Maker, she’s wonderful, perfection incarnate.

Leliana did not give her enough time to let snark leave her mouth. Lifting the woman back into her arms, Leliana captured her lips with her own, swallowing a moan which left Cadash’s mouth, before heaving her a little up again, legs falling over Leliana’s slight shoulders.

Cadash was already wet, her need filling Leliana’s senses overwhelming that the scent of wood and stone and scented candles flowed away. It was only Cadash, and Maker did Leliana want to keep herself there. She had forgotten the warmth that came from holding a person close like this, seeing them wait for her, to be pleasured...No, she would take her time.

Kisses scattering the taunt muscles draped over with pale skin turned pink from flush, Leliana left marks here and there, tiny reminders of her love. At other moments, she merely sucked gently, or grazed her lips merely over tiny scars that littered skin.

Fingers tightened in her locks. “Leliana,” whimpered Cadash, “don’t tease me, please.”

Leliana could not keep the smile from her face. She ignored Cadash’s pleading, much to the dwarf’s displeasure, though she felt the women’s pleasure growing, from the wetness that only seem to flow more. It was hard not to turn her mouth to that.

After a while of some kisses, Leliana nuzzled her mouth closer to the apex between Cadash’s legs. She licked slow, teasing around the small erect nub, before flickering.

Cadash’s thighs tightened about her head, fingers twisting balls of hair into a grip. But Leliana continued, slow and deliberate at some moments, swift and frantic at others. Every so often, Cadash’s thighs were flex against her, muscles shifting as the soft releases of moans and gasping breaths filled the bedchambers. Leliana could stay like first forever, between Cadash and giving her more pleasure and happiness that the world could not give a woman of her position. She wanted to hear those moans until the stars burned out and the sun was swallowed by darkness. She wanted to be with her, forever.

Leliana pressed her further against the wall, lapping growing more swiftly with every moment. There were a few times where Cadash came, and Leliana went slower, softer, to let her ride off the pleasure, before counting her onslaught. She needed to give her more, more pleasure, more love, more everything.

I need too, Maker, please. And give she did; she gave Cadash her heart and everything, and entrusted her with that and so much more. She focused on giving her pleasure, more pleasure than Cadash think she could dare handle, and even more so. More, I will give you so much more, my world and my heart.

So, Ralia Trevelyan, how did she usurp the throne? What's the story there? How old was she? How's her relationship with her parents?

Avatar

Thank you for the ask!

-

After Amayian’s assassination in 9:63, alongside his youngest son Prince Asmarian, the entirety of southern Thedas was thrown in disarray. Amayian’s heir, Princess Jacqueline was in Val Royeaux, along with her sisters Ralia and Saliasya, and brother Isalian. The only reason why they had gotten the news so quickly was because the conspirators threw Asmarian’s body through the gateway - a gateway that was fashioned by Amayian, and a few other mages, like the eluvians but by human hands - which landed in the middle of the throne room for the Grand Catherdral.
Her brother and, more importantly, father’s death stroke a dark cord within Ralia. Ralia argued with Jacqueline, and later with Esmyial, that that it wasn’t merely a combined conspiracy within the Orlesian and nobility within their kingdom, but an active plan between the two foriegn powers that neighbored the Frostback: Orlais and Ferelden. She did not blame their practical-uncle, King Alistair, for their father’s death, but men like the ailing Arl Teagan of Redcliffe, and more important the ancient Empress of Orlais, Celene Valmont. Attacking and murdering the Herald was akin to what the Tevinter Imperium did with Andraste, she argued, and considered the failure of the nobility to be the betrayal of the Prophet’s mortal husband.
She was only nineteen years old, and she summoned all able men who had believed in her father’s sacred nature. If her father’s own heir would do nothing to advantage his death, then she will. She considered the war a holy one, and her assumption of the Orlesian throne was the Maker and Andraste’s will, not her own. She was a more than able tactician, beating any army that was sent against her armies. Her magic rivaled that of her father, who had at the time of his death had progressed to nearly as strong as Solas had been during Trespasser. She was considerably more stronger than Esmyial and Jacqueline themselves, though they were no pushovers as well. She was capable of connecting with demons and turning them to spirits of valor, which helped her against the armies, and used her magic to destroy Val Royeaux.
She was never that close to either Amayian or Leliana. That did not mean they did not try, but Ralia always believed herself a failure, and kept her time more focused on novels and her studies, away from her family. She consciously secluded herself because of those insecurities. But because of the novels written by Varric and other authors, the grand exploits and journeys they took during their heyday caused her to more than idolized her parents. Otherwordly, she saw them, holy and powerful, like that of Andraste or Drakon.

My favorite mythological animal is a griffin or a dragon. But, in real life, I love lions. They are just so majestic and I was a big Lion King fan when I was younger, so they tend to have a special place in my heart.

I care about all my friends. They just help me a lot of times, and I’m glad that they exist. :D

Nothing, really. I don’t really have anything I like about myself. Lol.

And I love you too! I still have that art you did for me and I always keep looking back at it because it’s amazing!
