Hey JUST SO YOU KNOW if you tag a fic as "dead dove - do not eat," but you don't include ANY type of tag or archive warning about the potentially triggering content in the fic, that is not in fact a "dead dove - do not eat" type of situation. The gag in that scene was that the bag was clearly labelled and Michael opened it anyway and of course found exactly what he was warned about. If you don't actually tag your triggering fics except with "dead dove do not eat," you are not only misusing the term but also just extremely inconsiderate 👍🏻
#will admit - as a former wrangler this trend is kind of a pet peeve of a lot of wranglers lmao (and is definitely a pet peeve of mine too)#please tag your stuff with more than just 'dead dove' - it's a great tag! but just an indicator for 'enter at your own risk this is a lot'#'and here are the risky tags so you know what the risk is:' is the expected follow-up!!!! that so many people just don't add!#'dead dove: don't eat' shouldn't be a catch-all tag for all 'mature' content - please let more people know what they can expect in your fic#like i don't really care for gore in stories - and if i go into a fic ONLY tagged 'dead dove' and i'm just expecting some trashy smut#and i'm instead blindsided by gore without warning and no tags that indicated it was in there... like no thanks??????#and obvs you don't have to tag anything but... it really is so SO much more considerate (and helps wranglers organize fics!)#i am a bit abysmal at explaining things but i hope this makes sense lol#A03#fanfiction#writing
