I find it hilarious that Nico is constantly referred to as "weird and creepy" in the PJO books, while characters like Luke and Percy are clearly meant to be attractive,

and then you enter the fandom and literally everyone is fangirling over Nico (including me)

AU where Annabeth finds out the truth about Luke much earlier than in canon and there's an "Achilles, Come Down" style confrontation between her, Kronos and Luke

I mean, it's perfect, like come on ??

-"You want the acclaim, the mother of mothers (it's not worth it, Achilles) More poignant than fame or the taste of another (don't listen, Achilles)" - Clearly Kronos and Annabeth trying to sway Luke to their side

-"Loathe the way they light candles in Rome But love the sweet air of the votives Hurt and grieve but don't suffer alone" - Luke loathes the gods (the way they light candles in Rome), but loves his two friends, the spawn of said gods (the sweet air of the votives). Luke's pretty traumatized from his mother (hurt and grieve) but never told anyone about all his pain (suffer alone)
