It wasn't a particularly interesting day when they met.

The sky was grayed over in clouds, a few flecks of rain dropping against the windows. A boring Tuesday, but one Killer had been long looking forward to.

On Tuesdays, he didn't need to work, and he was going to savour this lie in. Not to mention, this morning his roommate was working the morning shift, so everything was lining up to be a perfect sleepy day. Start with a lie-in, and spend the afternoon with the cats and a take-out. Perfect. 

At least that was until.

It was the incessant sharp noises that shook him uncomfortably from his sleep. Unrelenting, impossible. 

Of course, he'd tried it all. Pulling the blanket over his head, and burying himself under his pillow. No matter what he tried.
