Saw a post from 4 years ago on some other site when i was googling what is winter's allusion and all they said was "i always thought she might be persephone, because persephone's first name was 'kore' which means 'maiden'" and nothing else. and guys. i can see it so clearly.

Persephone: the queen of the Underworld, goddess of spring, the reason for winter, a compassionate and adaptable person who is also unmoving and firm, someone who only sees her mother a few times a year

Which could mean Ironwood is Hades, the god who kidnapped Persephone and the god nobody likes. Also Winter is his right hand man, and Persephone is Hades' queen

(Ironwood's main allusion is the Tinman, but he is also the Titan Atlas and the Sherrif of Notingham. Also seen a lot of people say he's someone from Pinnochio. Basically yes he already has a allusion but he also plays more than one role in other character's allusions)

Which just leaves the question: which parent is Demeter? Persephone's loving but very controlling mother who gets upset when Persephone has to leave. Jacques, an uptight parent who is still very upset Winter left, or Willow, the depressed mother?

Been rewatching RWBY and i know a few people have mentioned before the Atlas vs rest of world wedding tokens (is that the right word?) but i noticed a couple other things. It has been confirmed married couples use different tokens in different regions. We only know of 4 married couples in the show, 5 if you count Tai and Raven who i heard were confirmed outside the show

So first off, rings

Argus:

Saphron and Terra have matching rings, which is different from the Belladonnas' who have swapped colors

Atlas:

Willow doesnt wear a ring on either hand, which could mean either she never had one or she just doesnt wear it. Jacques has one ring on the left ring finger (where married couples in the US and a few other countries wear it) and another on his right pointer finger. It could be just that Jacques likes to wear rings and theres no significance to it, or it is a wedding ring. I dont know if Willow's color is white or purple (and theres a theory out there that she's red), but if she's white the light gray/silver ring could be a example of a swapped color, or that they chose silver when picking matching ones.

Next, armbands

Menagerie:

The Belladonnas wear each other's color on a arm. The arms dont match (right for Ghira, left for Kali) so that may be a personal choice or a gender thing. I am unsure if Ghira's armband is the one on his upper arm or forearm, because they both match Kali's color scheme. Its also not clear if its a Menagerie tradition or a faunus tradition (supposably there are a lot of faunus in Vacuo, so we might see another faunus couple next volume and we can compare them).

With the armbands being on the arm, it makes me wonder if they are tied and then pushed up the arm, or if they have to tie it on each other every morning (which would be a cute way of reminding the other of yourself of your wedding vows each day).

Vale:

In some shots Tai's band looks like faded red, but in most of them it looks dark orange. Raven doesnt wear any yellow/orange/brown at all. They are also very likely divorced. This makes me think they arent supposed to be included in the armband wedding tradition

And lastly, nothing

Ren's parents dont appear to have any token at all. An has pink sleeve cuffs (they look red in this pic) but thats the only part of her outfit that doesnt quite match. Li's is completely matching. Neither wear rings. I couldnt find a full body picture of An, but i just watched V4 two nights ago and can tell you theres nothing of note.
