Do you ever call something or have a certain headcanon and no one really believes you? And then 4 years later a new season drops or the next book in the series comes out AND YOU WERE RIGHT and no one cares that you were right? Anyways I thought itd be fun to have a post out there that we can all reblog and say what we were right about

I'll start us off:

  1. I had this feeling the moment i read Nico di Angelo's introduction that he was gay. It was confirmed 5 or 6 books later
  2. I said ladrien was the spiciest side of the love square. Season 2 came out and they had their first interaction and the 20 some fics that existed before that (half were spicy btw, so i wasnt the only one who knew but no one cared to read them/go into the tag based on this common idea they were the most vanilla) suddenly blew up to 200
  3. Back when Voltron was the show to watch everyone was screaming about how Keith was gay and Lance was bi. The doodle of the crew holding up signs had Lance and Shiro both holding the LGBT sign, and right away i was like "well if they're gonna confirm anyone its gonna be Shiro" and then i was right
  4. I think this was like a lowkey consensus that yennskier is the most interesting dynamic in geraskefer, but they didnt have any canon content so they were pretty overlooked in terms of all ship content. Season 2 just dropped and the yennskier/yenskier fanfics are being pushed out like 10 a day over on AO3
  5. And then theres the rarepairs i had as crack ships that became actual ships that were vaguely confirmed in their final seasons: entrapdak and kalluzeb (also shatt got really big after matts reintroduction/shiros backstory was revealed and it was hilarious to watch the fandom turn around on that but its not canon so im not counting that)

Jumped on the Next Generation AU train. 25 years after galactic peace was finally reached, a new threat arises. The Lions awaken again and choose new Paladins. Luckily, all are children of the of experienced Paladins, and there is enough time to train the new Paladins before the threat becomes known to the galaxy.

Yellow Paladin

Jason Shirogane, 19

  • Human: Japanese
  • Shiro and Curtis (biological)
  • Tactical, compassionate, helpful
  • Due to Olkari technology and Altean and Human biologists, he is biologically Shiro and Curtis’s son
  • Enjoys helping people with small things like opening doors

Green Paladin

Naomi Horvat, 17

  • Human: European Descent
  • Student to Pidge/Katie Holt
  • Is in an elite class of 5
  • Outgoing, risky, determined
  • Despite fun nature she toes the line of mad scientist
  • Hobbies include learning geography and botany
  • Always has painted nails

Black Paladin

Allura McClain Rizavi, 15

  • Human: Hispanic and Indian
  • Lance McClain and Nadia Rizavi (biological)
  • Child number 3 of 5 (2 older half brothers, younger sister and brother)
  • Independent, brave, thoughtful
  • Her life is largely shaped by her family (several older role models, never being alone, annoying younger siblings)
  • Often goes off exploring and returns before her family notices she left
  • Wonders if she was chosen because she was named after a Paladin or because her father piloted two Lions

Red Paladin

Sochal Umckarrett, 16

  • Human: Samoan, Alien: Dalterion
  • Hunk Garrett and Ambassador Chaloden Umck (biological)
  • Sweet, resilient, quick
  • Was bullied as a child for looking different
  • Took a lot of meditation and fighting classes as a child per Dalterion culture and therefore has quick response and level head

And last but not least:

Blue Paladin

Araimer Kogane, 17

  • Alien: Unknown
  • Keith Kogane (adopted)
  • Middle child (older sister, younger brother, all adopted)
  • Friendly, sweet, witty
  • Is fascinated by different cultures accessories, her favorite is face paint
  • Due to her family’s constant travel her only long term friend has been her sister

The Librarians!AU

The biggest issue in this AU is that the all Paladins are both brain and brawn so you could argue either side

Librarian!Matt and Guardian!Shiro LITs!Pidge and Hunk GIT!Keith and Lance Caretaker(Jenkins)!Coran Allura as the people in the mirror King Arthur!King Alfor

  • Matt and Shiro go to dad Holt for help on a case and there’s a accident/ambush
  • Shiro wakes up from a coma a year or 2 later without a arm or memory
  • Keith finds him and breaks him out of the hospital a month later (Shiro’s memories have started to return)
  • They have to track down the kids for whatever reason (the Library needs a new Librarian it’s gone too long without one?)
  • Pidge is the first one they find and “he” lives really close to the library (she and her Mom went into hiding after Sam and Matt never came home. She was worried someone would recognize her since she moved close to the Library to search for them so she’s hiding as a boy)
  • It’s pretty clear Shiro has memory issues when they show up and he keeps going “you seem familiar” but Pidge doesn’t tell him she’s Katie bc she doesn’t know if she can trust him or Keith bc his head is so scrambled he could be brainwashed for all she knows
  • Shes almost finished packing when her neighbors show up
  • Her neighbors are college kids Lance and Hunk
  • They’re here to bother her or get something (flour?)
  • Shiro, Keith, and Pidge are on a time crunch but Lance and/or Hunk are taking their sweet time
  • Keith and Shiro are eventually like “we gotta move it” and try to get themselves and Pidge through the door but then Lance is all like “wait a second I know you!” Then tries to fight Keith right there bc he did something a long time ago by accidentally shoving/bumping into Lance when he first began his world journey to find Shiro (before he had never left Oklahoma Texas)
  • Keith gets fed up bc they have to go NOW and pulls a knife out or puts a hand on his gun and Lance and Hunk freak out
  • They have to run out after that little display (Shiro gives him the talk on the way to the Library)
  • Hunk and Lance decide they have to go after them to save Pidge
  • They only make it into the Library bc Hunk was like #5 on the list
  • Cue being wowed
  • Something happens, they all have to team up for like a week and then it just stays that way
  • Coran makes Shiro his arm after that with robotics and magic

Ok so ive seen the shatt reunion hug gifs a million times on my dash but theres one thing i havent seen anyone talk about yet: why did they (the animators) purposely make Shiro look good?

If you look at the front view we get in Matt’s POV when everyone parts for him (which happens to be another thing that makes him look good) you’ll see they actually seemed to have drawn his armor on him as opposed to how they usually draw the Paladin armor as though it was a part of him im sorry i cant add pics im on my phone if anyone want to add some go right ahead. They also gave him abbs and put him in “sunset lighting”.

So why?
