We are all missing out by not posting posts on how the VILE Facutly acted as parents like you KNOW they were each individually disasters at it and they left all the actual raising to her rotating nannys

People reblog and add how you thought each member was like when Carmen was little

I not sure about Maelstorm or Bellum but

  • i feel Coach Brunt wanted to get Black Sheep's ears pierced because Brunt was a baby when her ears were pierced and the first time Cleo saw Black Sheep with earrings she either threw a fit over not being there or almost passes out at the horror of a baby having holes in her ear. Either way she goes on to design baby fashion and Black Sheep becomes her dress up doll.
  • I feel Shadowsan was just kinda there like he didnt go out of his way for her but was a good role model when he was with her. I kinda think it would be funny if he freaks out at Black Sheep having holes in her ears (because having the fashion one and the quiet one freak out about baby ear piercing is hilarious to me).
  • Maybe her first swim lesson was with Brunt who didnt realize you have to teach people to swim and proceeds to panic over almost drowning her.
  • No one feeds her correctly like they spend the first two days researching if she can eat solid food yet and thats it. The only person on that island that eats veggies is Cleo and shes not about to get her dress ruinned by trying to make Black Sheep eat them.
  • Bellum accidently electrocutes her. Multiple times...
  • Maelstorm's first bedtime story to her after shes old enough to talk gives her nightmares for two years. He was no longer allowed to tell her bedtime stories. He also lets her stay up late and watch late night horror films with him when she cant sleep. He is also no longer allowed to do that.
  • Shadowsan and Brunt are the only ones that ever carried her. Cleo and Maelstorm don't know how to hold a baby and Bellum just made a bunch of playpen/stroller contraptions that kept her from wandering off

Ive been meaning to make a post on aroace Carmen for awhile and i cant sleep right now so here we go

  • The first time anyone asked her who she was into was Sheena when Black Sheep was 16. The answer is clearly no (right?): she'd grown up in isolation, this was her first year actively hanging out with people around her age, all these people were 2 or more years older than her so why would they take interest in her, and most importantly she'd never had a crush before. Sheena is one of those people who thinks if you havent had boyfriends since at least 5th grade youre not normal AND Black Sheep doesnt wanna go around telling people she's VILE raised (and she wants to fit in) so all she says is "no have you seen the boys here?" and points to the boys who are making a racket in the cafeteria.
  • The second time is by Brunt. Black Sheep quickly shuts it down and reassures Coach Brunt she does not need to beat up her new guy friends 
  • Cleo is next. She notices how all but one of Black Sheep's new friends are boys. 1) it was embarrassing enough Cleo held her after class to confront her 2) Countess Cleo somehow makes it both innocent questioning and hostile questioning. But thats not enough. Black Sheep is given 3) the birds and the bees talk AND 4) boys are horrible talk. She leaves the classroom two hours later traumatized.
  • Sheena HAS to be the center of attention and uses flirting to get this attention. Its why her "friend group" is all guys and why she's always taking digs at Black Sheep. Black Sheep knows Sheena knows that she doesnt like Gray like that but whenever Gray wont pay her attention she'll bring up how he likes Black Sheep more and insinuate things and it makes Black Sheep's blood boil and occastionally her skin crawl
  • ((Gray thinks she's cute, and was into her in the begining. But then they became friends and age gap (aka missing social skills) made her feel like a kid sister to him. He puts up with Sheena's remarks because 1) its not true 2) he knows where he stands with Black Sheep, so why should it bother him?))
  • Black Sheep never went to high school but she thinks this is how it would be. Its close enough to the movies: blonde mean girl, boy best friend, goofing off in class, sneaking off to break the rules. She could do without the talking about boys. She always prefered nature doctumentarys anyways.
  • After Gray becomes Crackle, Sheena becomes Tigeress, etc and Black Sheep begins her redo year of crime school no one bothers her about boys and dating.
  • After her escape and integration into the real world she begins interacting with many strangers everyday. The first few times people flirt with her it goes over her head. The first time someone asks her out she tells them she's leaving town later that day. She finds all the senarios where she imagined herself being the girl in movies who's pretty and is always drawing eyes to be actually be a hindrence since she's suppossed to blend into the background. Its the first time and everytime that someone makes some flirty comment about her body her blood goes cold. She doesn't tell Player this. Figures its because she was always the youngest and the baby of VILE she wasnt used to being seen in a "adult" way. Carmen never really minded her appearance, and likes how her hair extentions make her look: older, pretty, taller. Her new makeup look makes her look different while still looking good. She looks the part she's occasionally imagined being: that pretty girl in the movies. But she doesnt feel like she expected to feel. She's not getting excited about having this type of attention. So she has a brief moment of wanting to change everything, to make herself look as unattractive as possible. She decides not too, listens to the logic that is Player went through all this trouble to make her IDs that if she changed her look now it would make things worse... Besides disguises are about not looking like yourself
  • Getting it though Zack and Ivy's heads that no, she doesnt want to talk about how hot a actor is or talk about dream dates took several tries. At first they backed off because they were balancing the line of friend and boss and then completely when Carmen would attempt to contribute to those conversations very awkwardly. They notice she's fine with romcoms and listening to those types of conversations, its just participating that bothers her.
  • They still make fun of her "date" with Graham though. Carmen is fine but finds it easy to try to remain calm instead of letting her blood boil like it did when Tigeress insinuated things. She figures its because Zack and Ivy are real friends who respect her boundries. They eventually stop talking about it because it makes Player of all people upset.
  • ((Player now has to dodge accusations they throw at him about having a "little crush". Truth is he's still hurt over the fact Gray was Carmen's best friend back when Black Sheep was Player's))
  • Having someone refer to Devineaux as her boyfriend would have thrown her off anyday (he's in his late 30s and she just turned 20, WHY would she be dating him?), but to hear it come from Brunt was so out of place it made her realize that Brunt truely didnt know who she was. That hurt.

All right thats all of season one, ive been typing for one hour, ive been constructing this on the spot so it makes 0% sense to my sleep deprived brain, and i'll fix it in the morning

ALRIGHT SINCE WE DIDNT GET THE HUGS I WANTED IM WRITING THEM OUT AND MAYBE ILL DRAW THEM WHEN I HAVE TIME

Carmen & Shadowsan: CATCHING HER DOES NOT COUNT AS A HUG i know her head was reeling and still scrambled but like that could have been used as "i dont know whats going on but youre familiar and a constant in my life please tell me what is happening right now" type hug. Like it doesnt matter which reality was real he was still a parental figure for 16 years of her life. I can see it either standing or kneeling. Either way Carmen's ugly crying into the front of his shoulder and gripping him as tight as she can around his middle but thats not very tight because her body is weak and thats also upsetting so she cries more. Shadowsan is a mix of "im so happy to have you back" and "i have no idea what to do right now" so he awkwardly but tightly holds her and blinks back his own tears. ACME does not interupt. When shes done crying and trying to ask questions he keeps handing her waterbottles because he's a dad and dads are always on you about hydration (and his shoulder is so wet he's worried).

Carmen & the siblings: THEY SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN INDIVIDUAL HUGS group hugs are not satisfing if youre the person on the outside

Carmen & Ivy: i feel like this would be a long one but not as long as the one with Shadowsan. Maybe two or three minutes. Ivy threw her arms around Carmen's neck and is squeezing the life out of her shoulders. If she was higher and around her neck or lower around her ribs she would actually hurt Carmen with the force of this hug. Carmen is holding her a lot gentler. Theyre definitely rocking side-to-side. They dont talk and both tear up but only Carmen's fall.

Carmen & Zack: Zack is crying. This makes Carmen cry. Zack does the thing all guys do for some reason where their arms go around you diagonal (one over shoulders the other under) and put one hand on your neck. Carmen hooks her chin over his shoulder. They crying stops after a minute because they start laughing. They pull away but are still holding arms. Zack mentions how it felt to see her brainwashed and she tears up again. Zack makes her laugh and they break apart to walk into the next room.

Carmen & Player: THEY MET AND PLAYER DIDNT HUG ANYONE. I feel like they would've hugged goodbye. Player is a 16 year old socially distanced introvert and the only touches Carmen's had in the last 4 years (not including punches) are when Zack or Ivy throw a arm around her. Its A W K W A R D. its very loose, Carmen has to lean down, theres like a foot of space between their feet. Awkward.

Player & the siblings: this i can see as a group hug. Player is both happy and embarressed.

Carmen & Gray: i could go without this one because Gray made it clear he wasnt going to find her and she already said her goodbyes to him at the lab but if her head is screwed back on a little bit she'd definetly want to check on him before she left. Its not awkward persay but the atmosphere makes it obvious its a goodbye and the last one they'll have. She doesnt know if she should stand or sit down or even sit on the edge of his bed. Gray is waiting for her to lead the conversation. Theres lots of silence between their sentences. She hugs him goodbye. Leans down to him since he's in the bed. Its a very normal hug. Not to tight (the hug of Gray and Black Sheep) or to loose (the hug of Carmen and Crackle). Not to long or to short. She's leaning down and he's leaning up. His arms over her shoulders and hers around his ribs. Both have chins on the other's shoulder. Theres whispers of "stay safe" and then Carmen walks out the door.

Carmen & Julia/Chase/ACME: if Carmen stuck around to say goodbye she would just shake their hands. She's still a little scrambled, tired, and wants to go home. She tiredly says "thanks", shakes their hands, and gets on the plane. Chase and Julia find it all really anticlimatic or lackluster considering what she's put them through the last 2 years. They just kinda give each other a look. Theyre both probably overthinking it (and wished they used both hands because thats a little less impersonal). Chief and all the other agents find this goodbye appropriate.

Things we were deprived from (please add on)

  • HUGS we deserved real reunion hugs
  • Also would have liked to see someone hug Player
  • Further development with Shadowsan and Carmen's relationship WE WERE SO CLOSE YALL after the "im so proud of you" and "SHaDoWsAn NuRsEd YoU bAcK tO HeALth" in season 2 and "theyre still together, closer than ever" and Carmen being there during Shadowsan's renuion and heart-to-heart with his brother in season 3 WE WERE ROBBED OF THIS FATHER-DAUGHTER RELATIONSHIP
  • Like the Shadowsan-Carmen goodbye was in character but would it have hurt to make it a little more emotional?
  • Zack, Ivy, and us the audience deserved to have Carmen either give a better goodbye or stay longer before leaving them
  • Actually knowing Carmen's plan would have been nice but wasnt necessary (is she like going to move in with her mom for the foreseeable future? Shes to restless for that) 
  • Knowing Player's plan too actually this boy gave up 2-3 years of his life for Carmen's capers and now poof. Does he even do regular White Hat stuff anymore???

In all of V.I.L.E., the first 17 years of her life, only two people truely loved Carmen enough to let her be her own person. I do think all the Faculty Members loved her but they didnt love her more than their own selfishness and their love turned out to be conditional. I would even argue Brunt's love was unconditional but she was to selfish to love properly. Shadowsan loves her enough that he wants her to be her own person and follow her own path. Thats why he failed her. Thats why he betrayed Brunt. Thats why he encourages her and follows her ideas. Gray/Crackle loves Black Sheep enough to betray all of V.I.L.E. because he wants Carmen Sandiego to be Carmen Sandiego. Not a glorified Black Sheep. He wants her to be herself and make her own decisions and follow her own path. Thats why he goes to A.C.M.E. Thats why he openly betrays Tigeress and Carmen. Thats why he's willing to go to prison.

Shadowsan loves her as a daughter

Crackle loves her as a best friend

Brunt loves her as a daughter but doesnt care about her wellbeing (evidence: she broke how many of her ribs?)

Maelstrom, Cleo, and Bellum cared about her before she became a obstacle to their goals

And the Cleaners never liked her

I noticed this last season that the Faculty Members all have two names: a occupation title and normal name(s) while operatives dont. Coach Brunt, Professor Gunnar Maelstrom, Countess Cleo, Doctor Saira Bellum, Shadowsan vs Crackle, Tigress, El Topo, etc.

So basically they set up Black Sheep from the begining to be a Faculty Member which isnt surprising considering she has been and was always expected to be within V.I.L.E. her whole life. She just needed a occupation title. I bring this up because it also worked with Carmen Sandiego since its two normal names, and in Season 4 Carmen Sandiego became a Faculty Member.

The irony like the Faculty knew Black Sheep only enrolled early because she wanted to travel the world, they offer Carmen Sandiego 2.0 the Faculty seat, and then are all confused that she wants to be in the field instead of hidden like Faculty Members are supposed to be

They also erased her empathy and are shocked that she would break protocol regarding Faculty in the field which was created to protect other people in the organization aka a epathetic rule
