Okay guys ive missed the last THREE AAWs and i refuse to miss this one! Ive got one day left so were going with a quick and easy meme. Help me fill it out! start listing off characters!

The reoccurring pattern of families through adoption and choice is so good. Shifu adopted Tai Lung, Shifu fostered Tigress, Mr. Ping adopted Po, Po choosing to make room in his heart for two fathers, Mr. Ping and Li putting aside their differences to be there for Po as his family. Just *chef's kiss*. And even with the estranged parent-child relationships its always made clear the parents still love the child so much. Shifu never stopped loving Tai Lung ("i was always proud of you. I never stopped being proud of you. It was my love that blinded me from seeing what you were becoming."), the soothsayer makes sure to remind Lord Shen exactly how much his parents loved him ("no, they loved you...sending you away broke their hearts. Its what killed them."), Li never stopped loving Po despite not knowing if Po was alive.
Im not actually sure if we see any explicitly stated in-movie (i know about the behind the scenes material) blood related families outside of Lord Shen, and he looks so unlike his parents you could probably argue that he isnt. I think thats also the only in-movie family that had two parents actively raising a child (Po's birth mom died, Mantis' dad died, Po's adoptive father seemingly never married, and Shifu raised Tai Lung and Tigress without a partner)
And the quiet friendships between Po and the Five. Its so clear and i wanna know more
Just, these movies are so aspec friendly i love it. Familial love being a secondary-focus in all three films (Shifu and Tai Lung, Po and Mr. Ping and arguably Shen and his parents, Po and Li). Platonic love being quiet but there (Oogway and Shifu, Po and Tigress). And no romance at all. Closest you get is Po's bio parents, Mantis mentioning wanting to die married, and Mei Mei's crush on Po. Thats it.

hi, sorry, i saw your post abt yelena being aroace, and for some reason i had no idea! when i watched the black widow movie i sorta headcanoned her as lesbian, but that’s really cool that she’s aroace! i was wondering where that came from? (sorry again that this is really random)
Its fine! I had personally no idea until after Black Widow came out. And lesbian!yelena is a very popular headcanon for mcu!yelena on ao3 and tumblr. And another fun sexuality fact you may not have known about: according to her wiki comic!Kate Bishop is explicitly and repeatedly said and shown to be bisexual in the comics
But back to Yelena
I dont actually know where it came from other than it came from the comics. Back when Black Widow came out a few people posted about how she's canonically ace/aroace with some comic panels of her talking (i think the panels said something like "i dont like men. And no, i dont like women either, so dont ask."). When people say "its canon in the comics" it usually means its actually very vague and more of a popular fandom headcanon (i once looked into the "comic!steve is canonically bisexual" claim and it all boiled down to one panel where the villain was like "the ladies. Or men, if thats what youre into" which to me was just saying the villain didnt want to assume anything but to a lot of people it was more oh the villain knows something we dont), but the way it was worded sounded a lot like the "this is what i am, im not going to use labels because that will confuse you more" coming out technique. So i have chosen to see it as a somewhat-explicit Yelena is Aro-Ace scene
Ive also heard from a couple of posts i saw last night on the subject saying someone (it was either the creator or one of the writers) has stated in a interview before that Yelena is Asexual

For AAW19 i made boards with character's and their corresponding aro flag and a little blurb about it and i did a different genre each day. Since i forgot to pre-prepare stuff for this week i figured id expand those old boards with new characters!
Today's Genre: Live Action
Din Djarin/"Mando" from The Mandalorian: i headcanon Mando as aroace. He's a lone (space)cowboy who, although having stolen hearts throughout the galaxy, has never shown romantic interest in anybody. The girl claiming to be his somewhat ex-girlfriend is borderline crazy and clearly made him uncomfortable, wether it was because their "relationship" ended badly or he was uncomfortable with her in general was not specified (i suspect he tried a relationship with her out of peer pressure but didnt like it at all). His highest priorities and sense of purpose revolve around his family (the Tribe, later his son) and friends.
Agent M/formally Molly Wright from Men In Black International: i headcanon Agent M as aromantic bisexual. In the movie she has a conversation with Agent H regarding her experiences and beliefs with love. She says something along the lines of she doesnt think love is real but that sexual attraction is.

Todays Genre: Animation
Soul Eater Evans from Soul Eater: i headcanon Soul as aro. He appears to put on a cool person persona, and seems to me he also puts on a act when it comes to attraction, over playing his like for "typical" attractive traits in women.
Miles Morales/Spider-Man from Spider-Man Into the Spider-Verse: i headcanon Miles as aro. His reluctantness to speak about any crushes to his uncle and scrambling to pick a girl (the new girl in this situation) when pressed is a very aro experience.
Lie Ren from RWBY: i headcanon Ren as aroflux (there was several flags for aroflux and i dont know which was correct so i decided to play it safe with the normal aro flag). His feelings, or more accurately him expressing his feelings, towards Nora (his girlfriend and long time best friend) seem to change on a day-to-day basis between romantic and platonic, which has led to tension in their relationship.

Ive been meaning to make a post on aroace Carmen for awhile and i cant sleep right now so here we go
- The first time anyone asked her who she was into was Sheena when Black Sheep was 16. The answer is clearly no (right?): she'd grown up in isolation, this was her first year actively hanging out with people around her age, all these people were 2 or more years older than her so why would they take interest in her, and most importantly she'd never had a crush before. Sheena is one of those people who thinks if you havent had boyfriends since at least 5th grade youre not normal AND Black Sheep doesnt wanna go around telling people she's VILE raised (and she wants to fit in) so all she says is "no have you seen the boys here?" and points to the boys who are making a racket in the cafeteria.
- The second time is by Brunt. Black Sheep quickly shuts it down and reassures Coach Brunt she does not need to beat up her new guy friends 
- Cleo is next. She notices how all but one of Black Sheep's new friends are boys. 1) it was embarrassing enough Cleo held her after class to confront her 2) Countess Cleo somehow makes it both innocent questioning and hostile questioning. But thats not enough. Black Sheep is given 3) the birds and the bees talk AND 4) boys are horrible talk. She leaves the classroom two hours later traumatized.
- Sheena HAS to be the center of attention and uses flirting to get this attention. Its why her "friend group" is all guys and why she's always taking digs at Black Sheep. Black Sheep knows Sheena knows that she doesnt like Gray like that but whenever Gray wont pay her attention she'll bring up how he likes Black Sheep more and insinuate things and it makes Black Sheep's blood boil and occastionally her skin crawl
- ((Gray thinks she's cute, and was into her in the begining. But then they became friends and age gap (aka missing social skills) made her feel like a kid sister to him. He puts up with Sheena's remarks because 1) its not true 2) he knows where he stands with Black Sheep, so why should it bother him?))
- Black Sheep never went to high school but she thinks this is how it would be. Its close enough to the movies: blonde mean girl, boy best friend, goofing off in class, sneaking off to break the rules. She could do without the talking about boys. She always prefered nature doctumentarys anyways.
- After Gray becomes Crackle, Sheena becomes Tigeress, etc and Black Sheep begins her redo year of crime school no one bothers her about boys and dating.
- After her escape and integration into the real world she begins interacting with many strangers everyday. The first few times people flirt with her it goes over her head. The first time someone asks her out she tells them she's leaving town later that day. She finds all the senarios where she imagined herself being the girl in movies who's pretty and is always drawing eyes to be actually be a hindrence since she's suppossed to blend into the background. Its the first time and everytime that someone makes some flirty comment about her body her blood goes cold. She doesn't tell Player this. Figures its because she was always the youngest and the baby of VILE she wasnt used to being seen in a "adult" way. Carmen never really minded her appearance, and likes how her hair extentions make her look: older, pretty, taller. Her new makeup look makes her look different while still looking good. She looks the part she's occasionally imagined being: that pretty girl in the movies. But she doesnt feel like she expected to feel. She's not getting excited about having this type of attention. So she has a brief moment of wanting to change everything, to make herself look as unattractive as possible. She decides not too, listens to the logic that is Player went through all this trouble to make her IDs that if she changed her look now it would make things worse... Besides disguises are about not looking like yourself
- Getting it though Zack and Ivy's heads that no, she doesnt want to talk about how hot a actor is or talk about dream dates took several tries. At first they backed off because they were balancing the line of friend and boss and then completely when Carmen would attempt to contribute to those conversations very awkwardly. They notice she's fine with romcoms and listening to those types of conversations, its just participating that bothers her.
- They still make fun of her "date" with Graham though. Carmen is fine but finds it easy to try to remain calm instead of letting her blood boil like it did when Tigeress insinuated things. She figures its because Zack and Ivy are real friends who respect her boundries. They eventually stop talking about it because it makes Player of all people upset.
- ((Player now has to dodge accusations they throw at him about having a "little crush". Truth is he's still hurt over the fact Gray was Carmen's best friend back when Black Sheep was Player's))
- Having someone refer to Devineaux as her boyfriend would have thrown her off anyday (he's in his late 30s and she just turned 20, WHY would she be dating him?), but to hear it come from Brunt was so out of place it made her realize that Brunt truely didnt know who she was. That hurt.
All right thats all of season one, ive been typing for one hour, ive been constructing this on the spot so it makes 0% sense to my sleep deprived brain, and i'll fix it in the morning
Whenever ever a new ship gets popular
A) is the fact im oblivious, aro, or ace the reason i dont see it?
B) have the straights decided to jump on the "hes a boy, shes a girl" bandwagon once again?
C) are the gays desperate?
D) is this another projection/self-insert shipped with "i think this character is hot" situation?

I just found Piper Week 2020 today so i probably wont have enough time to properly contribute so here are just a few headcanons
(By the way the last book i read was TOA book 2 so im a bit behind)
DAY 2 — LGBT
Shes aro-spec!!! I dont quite remember what she said in TOA (about her and Jason's relationship) but i was just like "omg shes aro". I always thought itd be super cool to have a Aphrodite kid be a-spec and i was like "its happening its actually happening". Piper herself doesnt quite know where shes at (shes questioning) i think she might be recipromantic because she thought she was in love with Jason and we/she knows that he loved her, or maybe lithromantic because once they got offically together things didnt go to smoothly on the emotional side.
DAY 6 — FASHION
Its canon that she doesnt dress pretty! I personally think she dresses purposely against all the trends and aims for tacky. Im talking pattern on pattern, loose on loose, jean on same colored jean, blavy. She doesnt care about her hair as seen when she hacked it off asymetrically. I think she would wear makeup but not everyday (i think she wore it when she was trying to get Jason's attention and on days when she feels like it) She doesnt like to be the center of attention and tbh mood. She hated her Claiming look because it brought attention to her. I do however think she looks great in every horrible outfit she wears and whenever the paparazzi get her on camera the articles are always on about how pretty she looks BUT she'd look prettier with a real haircut. She probably also avoids red carpet stuff with her dad because she doesnt want to be sexualized by the media (again mood). Maybe a modeling agentcy would reach out to her but i dont think her or her dad would say yes unless it was a indegious modeling place looking for repesentation. Then it would come down to Piper wanting to connect/reconnect with her heritage but also probably feeling like a fraud for the same reasons. But yeah the only time she would ever be fashionable would be if she was modeling or wanted to impress/intimidate someone
I had a dream last night where i tweeted crew-ra and asked if they think any of the characters were on the ace or aro spectrum and Noelle responded with this colorful chart that had a column of characters with a row of different orientations and Adora was (the only one) checked in the aro box and i woke up with the desire to create a twitter account
I'll be the first to admit that country music has a huge amount of love songs but i found its also got the most arospec feeling songs. Love Ain't, Confetti, Bra Off off the top of my head
