Can we talk about how Yelena said "my daddy says its good for you"!!! She's been spending time with Alexei!?! I need to know what they did
Alright y'all we're ignoring the fact Natasha died what do Natasha and Yelena call Melina and Alexei??? At the end of the movie Natasha has finally admitted to herself they're her family and she starts caling Yelena her sister so i believe she'd be open to calling them "Mom" or "Dad" at least occasionally
I can see Nat and Yelena calling them Mom and Dad when speaking to each other but not often to or about them. I feel like Yelena is more likely to call them Mom and Dad to their face. Could also see Nat and Yelena referring to and calling them Mom and Dad when they're not around but always calling them by their names when speaking to them. But i can also see it (slowly becoming) being the other way around with the girls referring to them by their names but saying Mom and Dad when directly speaking to them
What do you all think?
I cant stop thinking of scenarios where Alexei shows up at either Avengers Tower or the Avengers Compound with his bags packed looking for Nat
Like i can just see him showing up, embarrassing Nat in the way he goes about saying he's her dad, start to tell some story about why he's there ("Natasha, me and your mother miss you", "Ah, well, Melina, she wont let me stay with her anymore. She's got her new experiment and i kept getting in the way and after i broke the [thing] the second time Melinda kicked me out and-", "Natasha, sweetheart, are you home? Your sister is driving me up the wall"), arguing with the intercom, and then either forcefully inviting himself in or immediately after being let in he starts looking for Steve (which of course embarrasses Natasha more)
But also like what would Alexei living with the Avengers for a week be like? Itd be so entertaining. Both just Alexei and the ideas the rest of the Avengers would come up with for Natasha's past ("well no wonder Nat and Steve get along so well, Nat basically grew up with him" "i dont think Alexei and Steve are all that similar" "fine then she grew up with Steve's side effects" "didnt she only live with him for three years?")
I highly doubt this is considered in character but it would make a great scene (fanfic or movie) so...
Its the aftermath of a fight, they're still at the battlefield, and theres been some kind of heavy toll (maybe like two deaths but could be The Blip if you want). The Avengers are upset, some are full on sobbing, and Natasha is one of the ones who is holding it together. She's obviously upset but she's keeping her cool. But then Alexei, her dad, shows up (either right there or like a few days later) and the moment Nat sees him she breaks. She's crying and walking towards Alexei who of course hugs her, and that kicks off the full on sobbing. The people who witness it are speechless. Clint's her best friend and he's never seen her cry in front of another person who wasnt a mission, and here she is getting snot all over Alexei's too tight uniform while Alexei comforts her

So i thought there was gonna be a explosion of fanfic after Black Widow came out with these particular topics hogging the majority of the fics (but since none of this has happened and theres only like 5 new fics per day feel free to use any of these as prompts)
- The Raft breakout but the BW Fam is helping (aka Steve meets Alexei...)
- The Avengers unexpectedly meet the BW Fam when they stop by the Tower to see Nat in a Everything is Fine AU
- Actually expected a ton of different Avengers meeting BW Fam in Everything is Fine AUs
and ive read exactly 1(Alexei embarrassing Nat by talking about how proud he is of her, Yelena telling stories that arent true to embarrass her, ((Nat doesnt get embarrassed Tony would be thriving off that)), one of the friendly Avengers attempting to engage Melina in conversation, OR complete opposite the Avengers being super suspicious of the BW Fam) - i just honestly expected so many more Alexei meets Steve fics
- Also expected lots of Alexei and Melina flirting in front of the girls fics
- Nat showing up with Team Cap in New York/Wakanda (Infinity War) but also with the BW Fam because they need all the backup they can get
- Nat mentions/talks about the BW Fam to one person or the whole of Team Cap at like dinner while on the run with them
- Nat calling Clint to tell him about the BW Fam
- Nat alternating between visiting various Team Cap members and BW Fam members during her on the run period (Yelena gets a lot of stories on them but they get no stories about the BW Fam because Nat never says where shes going)
- "Natasha, that is one ugly vest." "I know but i promised i'd wear it. Plus the pockets come in handy." "Promised who?"
- Everything is Fine AU but Nat keeps running off to do missions she never talks about but one day theres footage of her and Yelena all over the news so she comes home (the Tower/training facility) to a lot of questioning
- "My sister-" "YOU HAVE A SISTER?"
so i was looking up the lyrics of American Pie because i wanted to know if any of it related to Black Widow or if they just picked a song and...
i get why they played it during the extraction scene now
me two days ago: i wonder if Alexei and Melina never stopped being "married" or if they fell into their roles when they met again and/or were still attracted to each other

- Melina been "pining" after Alexei for 25 years which implies they never talked about their personal feelings for one another during their mission (21 year time gap + 3 year mission = 24 years)
- despite that she still considers Alexei THE LOVE OF HER LIFE
So did the "do we know if she had any family?" "yeah, us" mean that Yelena, Melina, and Alexei blipped/died before that point or did nobody know about them??

I both love and hate the idea Natasha told none of the Avengers, not even Clint, about Yelena, Melina, and Alexei
Idk why but i wanna read a bunch of fics where Natasha ends up in the hospital on Avengers business (meaning the whole world knows about it) and while the team is outside the room talking about Natasha's coma Yelena, Alexei, and Melina have walked right into Natasha's room. One Avenger spots them and tells everyone else, one of them runs in there to be like "you're not allowed in here" to find a bunch of strangers "pretending" to be her very affectionate Russian speaking family
Alexei: do you think i can fit 15 marshmallows in my mouth?

Alexei was hands down my favorite character of this movie but i have to say my favorite scene in Black Widow and probably the whole MCU is the hysterectomy education scene
You just know that Yelena, Alexei, and Melina see the Avengers like their in-laws. Nat keeps trying to tell them she's apart of the Avengers Family not them. Alexei and Melina dont grasp that and Yelena goes along with it to annoy Natasha...
..and then one day Alexei shows up at Avengers Tower to ask for a favor and genuinely expecting to be let in

Imagine if we got the Black Widow Fam on the run together you know Melina and Alexei would make Nat and Yelena share a bed or a air mattress while Melina gets a real bed and Alexei gets the couch.
Nat keeps waking up every time Yelena moves. Yelena doesnt even fully wake up when Nat elbows her to the other side of the bed. Nat spits Yelena's hair out of her mouth no less than 4 times. When Melina comes to wake them up to see what they want for breakfast Nat is being little spooned and blanketless. And full on spooning like Yelena has her leg thrown over and everything while Nat has a sleep deprived and resigned look on her face
