Always a classic, Vuk Vidor’s Art History, 2004 reduces modern/contemporary art history into pithy aphorisms such as “Flavin owns Neon,”; “Koons owns Kitsch” and quite aptly, “Duchamp owns Everything.” Perhaps an easy way to learn art history for beginners, but it’s also depressing to consider how their expansive body of work can be reduced to a few syllables.
