Been looking at Superman and Wonder Woman comic book covers and admiring how beautiful they are and how lucky we SuperWonder fans have been throughout the years. We have a variety of different covers but there are some whereby emotion is all. The joy and intensity captured in some of them is infectious and breathtaking. These are some of my favorites and I cropped the covers just to home in on our lover’s faces, eyes and expressions.

Diana has been waiting for him. No sign. He was late so maybe he’d gotten tied up as Superman. She was used to such things. Life being dictated by their oaths as heroes to help the world. It was one of the things she admired about him. His compassion for others. Somewhere he was saving someone’s life, offering hope to the hopeless. Yet a part of her had hoped tonight would be theirs even if for an hour. It surprised her how much she had been looking forward to seeing him again.
She was about to turn to go inside when there was a shift in the wind. She could feel the currents change and hear the swoosh that heralded his arrival. Her hair fluttered like ebony ribbons across her face. She could feel his presence even before she turned. Her lips curved into a tiny smile.
There he stood. Clark Kent. No glasses. Wind tousled, shirt slightly crumpled, holding an exotic, blue flower. His blue eyes gazed upon her with earnest admiration, even as he lounged against the wall, trying to look cool and casual.
He gave a cute lop sided grin. “Hi.”

Diana knows the truth. She sees it in Clark’s cerulean blue eyes. He stares sometimes a second longer than he should. But she senses the weight of his gaze everytime he looks at her, especially when he thinks she is not looking. It’s all there...fascination, admiration, introspection, respect, caring, tenderness, desire and love.

My love for Superman & Wonder Woman takes its toll on my pockets but not sorry. :D I don’t live in the US so chasing down some comics (like variants) and merchandise can be expensive. Shipping costs are killer. It pains me more though when I can’t get at some stuff. DC, you got to make more Superman/Wonder Woman merchandise so people who live outside of the US can go into a store and buy some stuff!!!
