Let the beauty of what you love be what you do. Rumi

Love lives in those who are willing to make the greatest sacrifices without keeping account.

Saying good bye to the one you love has to be the hardest thing there is, whether it is a temporary farewell or one that could be permanent. Diana always gave Clark strength to face whatever he had to whenever they parted. There was never any protestations for self preservation nor to have him remain for her sake. No histrionics for him not to go face danger when the job called for hard decisions.  She even threw herself in danger as well because the world always came first. She understood that he did not belong to her alone and that he should never be put in a position to want to put her safety above everything or everyone. Theirs is a selfless love that maintains their principles as heroes. And when she faced losing him forever, despite her heart breaking,  she gave him courage and strength to go and be at peace. THIS is real love.

So the Clois fan who constantly attacking SuperWonder shippers, now scraping the bottom of the barrel to try to undermine the ship, saying Superman and Wonder Woman represent eugenics. Do these people even know what they are even saying?! Also saying Lois and Superman is better because they are not about beauty or strength or is more human than SMWW? I swear they just grab terms they don't even understand and throw it like shit on a wall hoping some might stick.

Superman and Wonder Woman is eugenics?!?! Like how???

Okaaay.

Eugenics. Definition. The study of or belief in the possibility of improving the qualities of the human species or a human population, especially by such means as discouraging reproduction by persons having genetic defects or presumed to have inheritable undesirable traits (negative eugenics) or encouraging reproduction by persons presumed to have inheritable desirable traits (positive eugenics).

As far as I am aware, Krypton had a kind of selective breeding depending how deep you want to get into it or which version. Being a scientifically advanced race, they birthed either in artificial wombs or perhaps created each individual for a certain role using genetics etc. Some versions make Krypton very cold. Other versions had them with a culture. But Krypton was way ahead of earth in terms of science. So whatever Krypton did is probably what earth would eventually turn to as the norm as far as I see if science could control sickness and aging etc. I mean hundreds of years now, we are not naive to think that humans won’t do things to make themselves stronger, live longer or age slower.

How people feel about that morally in real life etc is another debate. But we are looking at a fictional universe where this is the norm. From being aliens, to descendants from Gods, to creating supersoldiers, to cloning to drinking potions or gaining magical powers etc etc

Kal-El was born the way he was and he was sent to earth to save his life. He was raised by humans and grew up gaining certain fantastical abilities. Diana of Themyscira was either a clay baby or daughter of Zeus. Either way they are what they are. Kal-El was loved by his parents and Kal-El had a choice in what he became. He was not engineered to be better than others. Neither was Diana. She was born out of the desperate longing of a mother or of a love affair. Either way these two being were viewed as different and even outsiders when growing up. The Kents had to hide Clark for fear of him being discovered and taken away by humans who would more than likely want to experiment on him. Diana was either viewed as golem, or called clay in some cases. They were both loved very much however by their parents and in Diana’s case, even if she was doted upon by her many sisters, she got no special treatment. She was subject to the same laws as them. Their births did not necessarily elevate them in society as untouchable or grant them power.

Eugenics in its positive aspects can help mankind as I mentioned re disease, and helping to ensure the survival of the entire human species etc. Negative aspects can elevate one race over another as it can be abused as an ideology like the Nazis did. I am not sure what clois fans are suggesting. Is it they think because Clark and Diana are strong that they will elevate themselves over mankind? I know this is what some clois fans like to say. That we put Superman and Wonder Woman together because of their strength and good looks. Or the other one that Superman and Wonder Woman together is doom for the universe and they will rule over everyone. Both suggestions are bs.

Look, if anyone believes any SuperWonder fan ships two characters because of their ability to fly and or punch a mountain…then they are not truly a fan of these characters. These two characters are actually inspiring and lovable people outside of their powers. Yes their powers allow them to do certain stuff and it is certainly interesting that they can relate and empathize with each other having similar roles and experiences. I am sure I have read books and seen movies and tv that have romances with two doctors, two lawyers, two cops, two jedi. two magic users, wizard and witch, two hobbits, two elves, two ants, two cats, two fish, two Gods etc etc. Romance does not always have to have two beings far apart in ability or experience. They can be similar and be interesting too. And Clark and Diana are actually not even the same background. They have a cultural and philosophical bridge to cross. So romancing each other is not easy and they have things to learn and share.

I also did not know in literature that beauty was some crime. Batman, the most popular hero, is the ultimate male fantasy of charm, good looks, wealth, intellect, martial skill etc. I was not aware that Lois was drawn as ugly or all the actresses who played her were not beautiful and glamorous. In fact , DC goes out of their way to say how beautiful she is and accomplished and that everyone loves her. She was never drawn as not beautiful. It does not escape me how DC likes to increasingly draw her like Diana. Not only the hair but same proportions as well. Similarly Steve Trevor; blond, blue eyed, handsome and a Colonel in the armed forces. In their early stories Wonder Woman falls for him on sight as does Superman with Lois and vice versa. I would think seeing they did not know them at all…it was looks and fantastical abilities that was a factor. Lois Lane and Steve Trevor were not like dorky Clark Kent or plain Diana Prince, nor had their problems. These alter egos of Superman and Wonder Woman downplay their beauty and strength for decades. We also know the human tendency to judge and the down side of being placed on a pedestal. ie people don’t always like you for being you. That some will worship the hero even though they never understand that they are not just celebrities but looked upon as heroes and they have thoughts, fears, desires and responsibilities that go with it.

It’s not Diana that chased after Superman and ignored Clark Kent. And whether she dated him or not, she knew both sides. And if she challenged him about hiding it was always to wonder why he couldn’t embrace all that he is/was. And to be fair to her the excuses for Superman’s secret Id is getting increasingly lame in a world where superheroes do not operate with any. Nor do many of them purport to be watchdogs for truth ( via journalism) but lying to the people they write for.

SuperWonder fans pair Clark and Diana based on their personalities and beautiful connection. Based on respect, admiration, trust, shared ideals and TRUTH. They were friends. Friendship we are told time and time again is the real key to a lasting love. Not strength. If we loved beauty and strength only we would be shipping them with any other meta human with similar abilities. DC does not lack meta humans Clark and Diana could be paired with. The fact it does not arise too often is because those possible relationships does not have the same depth or history as Clark and Diana.

If two meta humans getting together was eugenics then these couples are all wrong and Dc needs to break them up because they should not be together based on what clois fans are claiming.

Arthur/Mera, Scott/Barda, Val/Karen, Mon-El/Kara, Kara/Brainiac, Superboy/WonderGirl, Orion/Bekka, the Legion of Superhero couples, mostly all X-men couples, Thor/Sif, Isis/Black Adam, Hawkman/Hawkgirl, etc etc but you get my point.

The whole crux behind this attack on Superman and Wonder Woman is always laid at Diana’s feet. And they attack on her outsider aspect and different culture. Not eugenics. The idea she is an Amazon. Different. Never mind she was born on earth and loves it too and loves all creatures and has compassion and wants to use her gifts to help. The idea that two New Gods can be said to love each other more than Clark and Diana because she is Themysciran is an insult. Injustice is the current excuse detractors try to use to run Diana to the ground. That, if Superman was with Lois, he’d never take over the world etc. Injustice is OTT with an agenda to make Superman an asshole and the best way was to shovel the shit on Diana. If any fan of Superman or Wonder Woman says to me they can turn evil depending on who they date I will tell them take a hike. Same I will tell them that what they can do is not what defines them. It is who they are and what they represent and their bond.

In stories where Superman and Wonder Woman get together they suffer like any human couple. It’s not their DNA that defined their experience. Diana and Clark were not lauded and worshiped. Their power and strength never got them riches or priviledge. They had setbacks and losses like anyone. Their relationship did not stop Clark from dying in the new 52. Their relationship didn’t stop others they cared for from dying. They did not live forever in Kingdom Come. They had real parenting issues with their children in DK universe. Clark doesn’t drop his duty for Diana and nor would she permit that. When he lost his powers she stuck with him. So what special power and privilege does them being meta human give them? Wonder Woman never got a happyeverafter for the last 30 something years. Lois did. Lois gets many privileges because of her relationship with Superman. From getting saved at the expense of others, to getting to have a kid with someone she is not even compatible with to living a billion years. Some clois fans were peeved Lana was Superwoman and not Lois. Making her fight Furies…getting in-between Superman and Doomsday while they battle and surviving…getting super speed to pet Superman’s head after he snapped Zod’s neck etc…In short doing things no human could..Lois don’t need to be meta human. She has plot armor. It might as well be eugenics.

We have tons of cosplay and pictures and men, women, children of different ages, races, gender, religion, orientation, nationality inspired by SuperWonder. Are you seriously telling me clois fans are saying these people who have inspiring stories are about eugenics? If Superman and Wonder Woman make people feel powerful or confident or aspiring to be the best they can in any aspect of their lives are you saying that is the same as Nazi ideology? Wow.

We will just add this bs to their other accusations of xenophobia, sexism, racism and homophobia that they say our fans are guilty of. And know what? If anyone has an iota of sense they will know this is self entitlement, bitterness and ignorance.

We are proud of what SuperWonder represent. It is an inspirational and healthy relationship that is earned via the narrative, not given on a platter. And all the attempts to demean or devalue them won’t work because this increasingly growing fandom is here as proof of that.

“Things began happening with odd synchronicity, as if the universe itself was conspiring on behalf of their love story.” ― John Mark Green

For decades DC tried to keep them apart even while teasing what they could be like together because it was so fascinating. But even while lame excuses were used to keep them apart something kept pulling them together. Until the inevitable happened. From what if, it went to alternate timeline and universe to canon.

This relationship is not predictable as traditional love interests. It was never  given on a platter. This is a love that grew and built itself and earned itself. This is SuperWonder.

Been looking at Superman and Wonder Woman comic book covers and admiring how beautiful they are and how lucky we SuperWonder fans have been throughout the years. We have a variety of different covers but there are some whereby emotion is all. The joy and intensity captured in some of them is infectious and breathtaking. These are some of my favorites and I cropped the covers just to home in on our lover’s faces, eyes and expressions.

True love is not only kissing and saying I love you. It includes sacrifice, accountability and heroism. It is when you love each other but you don’t think of yourself. But you consider the greater good. When you have love and losing something so precious is painful but you still make the sacrifice because you are doing it for the world. It comes first. You say good bye even though your heart is breaking. You do what you have to do to protect innocents. You give each other strength and courage to carry on and be true to your beliefs.

Diana and Clark/Kal embodies this kind of love in every way. It is not many couples who has  faced these kinds of situations together as best friends and or lovers. Diana deserves Clark’s love and he is worthy of her. Over the years they have earned this love by enduring hard situations. It’s not been given to them on a platter nor was it ever easy.

DC might try to use weak excuses to keep them apart but it’s here in the narrative for all to see. As Charles Soule says...this love is real.

The best way to deal with our OTP being dumped on by DC & bullying by haters is to create. So DC prob won’t give us what we have been waiting for all this time even while buying comics because they scared of raging fans. Know what you can do?  Draw it, write it. Fan art, fan edits and fan fic cost nothing. It’s therapeutic, fun and you are in control of your pairing. While the haters bitch, bark, foam at the mouth, we’ll celebrate. Bonus is they prob hate us minding our business and having fun too. So win win. ;)

Just kiss me.

2016 was kinda an up and down year and comic wise just shitty when DC Rebirthed. But there is a God. The end of 2016 ends off for us with a gift from DC animation: SuperWonder in the new Justice League Action. And they are adorable. Haters, eat your salty hearts out.  This ship is not going anywhere. It lives, is growing all the time and will endure as it has always done.

Merry Christmas, ALL!

I love you.

Diana’s emotional growth and allowing herself to be vulnerable and say “I love you” can be seen in these panels. She grows and learns to embrace that love with Clark and see that it does not make her less of an Amazon but it strengthens her and him both. She always said it in her actions and then it came with her words. They both were confident in their love for each other.

Love is not all sunshine and roses.

Love that is never tested is not love.

Real love is there to protect, support, give hope and peace.

True love is unconditional. Even when times are darkest. It doesn’t wane or run.

She stays with him when he lost his power in Truth. She pleads to her God family for his life. She fights  to save his life in Trinity War.  She reminds him never to give up even when the Doomsday virus tried to take over. She supports him as he is dying of a terminal illness.

This is the kind of love Diana has for Clark. Loving him until the end even though her heart is breaking.

The love Diana has for Clark is real and true. It wasn’t because of what she could gain from being with him. She is a demi goddess, who can look after herself. She was with him because she loved the man.

Superman was a lucky man to have her love. The love of a Wonder Woman

My answers to @hellyeahsupermanandwonderwoman re #SuperWonderLife

Who wakes up first?

Clark. The sun’s first light is a wake up call to his body.

Who is grumpiest in the morning?

Diana. She doesn’t get to cheat like Clark with the sun. So when they had an an extra hard day fighting villains, or a marathon night of sexy time...irks her to see Clark all bright eyed and bushy tailed because of the sun while she’s still a bit tired.

Who cooks breakfast?

Clark. He is a great cook.

Who serves the other breakfast in bed?

Clark. He likes pampering his Princess. Though on occasion she returns the favor but she’s only good at  the simple bagel and cheese, jam and toast and coffee.

Who suggests they skip work and stay home?

Clark. Diana is always on the go with her hero, ambassador and princess duties. Clark thinks she needs to relax more.

Who always has to be touching the other?

Both. They really unaware they do it it as well. Even when on shift with the Justice League.

Who stays up until 2AM reading?

Clark. He doesn’t need as much sleep.

Who kisses their partner while they’re sleeping?

Clark. He loves watching her sleep.

Who falls asleep on top of the other?

Diana. She is always lying on him, legs tangled up with his, face burrowed under his shoulder.

Who loves to cuddle in bed?

Clark. He loves holding her.

Who is the most adventurous?

Diana. She’s curious and gung ho. Being newer to our world she loves doing new things.

Who is the most protective?

Both. Again they do it instinctively. They are fiercely protective of each other. But Diana may just have the edge. She tolerates no one messing with her Clark.

Who is the most ticklish?

Diana. Clark’s skin is very tough and tickles really don’t get to him but Diana is very susceptible to him. It’s his secret weapon to win any battle with her.

Who gets the most jealous?

Clark. Not much because Diana has never given him cause to but I mean look who is his girlfriend! He is only human when it comes to seeing people stare, gape, flirt, try to make a move even in front of him and make eyes at Diana.

Who has the most annoying habit?

Clark likes writing the old fashioned way with a type writer and note books and pens. He drops books, magazines and papers everywhere when he is writing his novel or research for articles. And nothing can make him move when he gets caught up in writing. Diana hates running late to events and this happens when Clark  gets caught up in writing.

Who cares too much?

Both. Both are very kind and compassionate individuals.

Who is most competitive?

Diana. She is a trained warrior. She is groomed to win.

Who sings in the shower?

Clark. Though Diana has the better voice.

Who is more likely to get naughty in public places?

Both are very private individuals but if anyone was to let go and loosen up in a public place would be Diana. She’s not as strict with our societal norms. But since dating her, Clark is no slouch when it comes to being a bit naughty. Getting it on in the sky is a favorite past time. Plus Watchtower. Don’t tell Batman.
