It’s been long enough that I felt like it might be fun to post some current and previous Mystery Skulls Animated video prop assets from the various characters and environments that myself and @artsyfeathersartsyblog worked on. The cute Arthur bug hidden in the Hellbent intro was also made for fun by our crewmate PoisonHearts. :)

Once again, I want to take this opportunity to thank all those who have been following these build logs, which I have really enjoyed posting and sharing. Currently I am building the 5th Blade in the Mushi Ice and Snow Katana series, which has almost reached the halfway point.
The purchase of the #4 sword will fund the purchase of more supplies of glues, paints, 3D printer filament and so on, which will allow me to continue designing and building more cool costume props and models. Thank you all very much!
Following your progress on these blades has been such a delight! Your prop replicas are amazing and i’m so humbled you made not 1, but multiple versions of Mushi’s blade. I’m just in awe of the quality and skill put into these.

The design was influenced by a very specific thing from Japan.
“Dekotora”
Extremely decorative, flashy, neon, trucks.
It’s funny, because we had developed the design without showing the musician behind Mystery Skulls until it was finished, and when I showed it to him, he *INSTANTLY* knew that it was a Dekotora truck. Afterward he was basically hoping for me to share the knowledge of what exactly these trucks are.
And to briefly explain them, here’s a video that gives a quick lowdown on what they are.
This was hands down the hardest prop I had to design but gosh dang am I happy with how it turned out. I think it made a pretty good first impression lol.
