Mystery Skulls Animated Monthly Updated Hey everyone, apologies for missing out on last month, but it's time to get a new update out the door from our team about the production so far for video 5. Unfortunately we don't believe we'll be able to have the video ready in time for a October release. People's schedules have not lined up in such a way where we have the momentum to finish things up for this month. In particular, background art has been difficult to get in due to artist availability. We do have layouts ready for most of the backgrounds at the moment, it's just a matter of getting fully cleaned up versions of them. At the very least we still want to give you another animated gif and to sincerely apologize for not being able to bring the video to you this month for the 10th anniversary. You know what I dream about the most? Like if someone just dropped a billion dollars in my lap one day and said go spend this, my first thought after making sure my close friends and family were good and taken care of would be to legit help people in the industries I care about like the animation industry for example. Can you imagine having the power to make multiple people's dreams come true for say their animated cartoon pilots and give them stability and be able to say "I love your idea, more of this should exist, make 3+ seasons of this with a whole crew of skilled artists and here's some money for merch production and some more on the side for potential bonuses for your workers no strings attached and you retain control of your production and IP rights and I just want this to happen cause I can do that." Obviously it's always great to continue to give to other organizations and to help people abroad and at home who are struggling as well where and when you can, not taking that factor out of it at all and especially now, but this is a dream "what if" hypothetical I've thought about on and off for a long time when I see people sitting on so much money and not wanting to invest in anything "risky."

So this has nothing to do with the MSA project, but once that video is done and I take a short break while enjoying the release with the community, i'll be going back into pre-production work on my other personal fan-animation project. I'm also realizing that I need to expand my knowledge and horizons on even more cultures and international entertainment media when it eventually comes to figuring out voice casting reference for some of the characters in this project. It's honestly severely lacking right now and that's not gonna cut it when it comes time to poke my friends about getting potential voice actors involved down the line. Another thing that's definitely thrown me for a loop is coming to the conclusion that I am very ignorant on what certain regions around the world's current modern languages are or what is the most commonly used regional dialect that would be appropriate to pull from in looking for movie or show material. I'd like to try and not screw that kind of thing up where possible you know?

I hope you guys don't mind me being honest for a second, but I am a little bit glad we didn't finish video 5 for the end of October even though it kills me to miss the 10 year anniversary. I don't think I or a lot of people would have been in a good mindset to hopefully enjoy it with how crazy this second half of the year is already. I do wish we had it out beforehand, but not much you can do when you don't have the freelance man power available consistently to go faster with certain parts of production while keeping the quality up to standards. Our small core group doesn't want to be stuck being the only ones doing say all the backgrounds again on like Hellbent. I am quite tired of vectoring rocks among other things lol.

I've been on this site since close to 2011 and I've never made a pinned post about myself or my account or any important links good lord. It's just been running on vibes I guess so I should probably do that this week huh.

just fyi, i'm not gonna stop doing personal posts here once in awhile, but i'm using my bluesky a bit more frequently to get some of my other quick and/or heavier thoughts and feelings out that are less paragraph heavy since it just feels easier to do along with cross posting any art.
