Happy 6th anniversary Detroit Become Human!!

Almost everybody is here! I made a scavenger-hunt like image, featuring 141 unique characters, 20 animals, and 10 Jericho symbols to locate! The biggest piece I’ve challenged myself with, I hope you guys enjoy!

Had to pay tribute to this wonderful game.

I was hooked from start to finish by the impeccable writing, story telling and acting performances.

Experiencing it definitely helped a lot getting that creative spark back, so it was only fair I’d homage it!

Hot take: "Forgetting who you are to become what someone needs you to be...Maybe that's what it means to be alive", is actually really a really nice phrase.

It's a direct phrase of when people take care of each other or something they care about, changing from. "what they are" with what "they need to be" for the people they love.

A soldier taking care of a kitten with all the tenderness and kindness they once forgot?

An older sibling taking the parental role even when having the option to not do it?

A child who already grew up and now is the caretaker of their elderly sick parent?

A drug addict getting clean so they can take care of their baby?

An elderly parent becoming a caretaker again for their now disabled older child?

A submissive abused mother standing up for herself when defending her baby?

It's the kind of sacrifices we've seen day on day basis all the time in multiple types of families.

The thing with Kara and Alice is that Kara was MADE to be a pretend mom to a human child. In the game, she BECOMES a mom. She doesn't pretend, she IS one, willingly putting Alice, an android, above her own safety. LOVING her. She's not a pretend caretaker with a programmed care anymore. She chooses Alice, Alice is hers.

Sure, outside of the context might sound horrible, but again, see the examples above.

What type of houses do you think our beloved protagonists would have after the crisis?

Connor would probably own a tiny tiny apt because it's next to the train station. He probably doesn't even have a kitchen

Markus? I can see him with a respectably big house. Not because he wanted a big house, but because both Josh and North wanted him to have one with a good security system

His house is probably very colorful. Not the same way Carl's house was, more personal and friendly, with methodical organization yet highly friendly atmosphere

Kara has a house next to a lake! Drawings in the walls she and Alice did together. Probably is very colorful, too, with a foyer so a lot of sunlight comes in. The house remembers a home to anyone that enters it

I agree so much! Many people like to believe that Connor immediately moves to Hank's place. I think it's very important for him to get his own place and start exploring life on his own terms. It's what he wants, too. Connor strikes me as an independent person.

It will take a long time for them to become a thing and live together. Till then, they will crash in each other's sofa, staying awake till midnight working on cases, most often, Hank, at Connor's house.

He often complains that Connor's sofa is very uncomfortable and that a house with no kitchen is a warehouse jokingly. But he never seems to stop crashing there. ( I've been inspired by a show I used to watch for this bit of headcanon).

I also like to believe that Carl leaves Markus the house. He wrote in his will that he wants his house to be like a safehouse, a "bunker" for Markus and Jericho in general, to support the cause. Afterall, "Androids won... for now". Markus mostly stays there when he doesn't run around doing God's work.

Carl's house is heavily safeguarded and is located in a really private, protected area.

( Most of the artworks go to museums and the rest of his property goes to Leo tho. Leo, after having a heart to heart with his father is now living somewhere far away, going into rehab, bettering his life.)

Kara also builds a small house for Alice next to theirs so that she has space to host and play with her friends! Kara and Luther love their only child so much and they are also worried about her adjustment and socialisation as an android, that they overindulge her. Alice is a very social girl tho, he classmates are much more understanding than previously thought and Kara and Luther learn to relax a bit as time goes by.
