Heck Yes, Tim Tebow!

Thanks for the question.  I hate to be a downer, but I don’t think it will happen.  Would I like to see it happen?  Yes.  But the way the NFL has treated Tim makes me believe that it won’t happen.  If it does, then I will eat my words for sure!

Here’s to hoping someone will get that Tim is better then the majority of QBs playing right now.  It seriously is the year of terrible QBs, yet Tebow is considered ‘bad’.  SMH.

I love what you have to say here because Tim does have wide range of fans and for many different reasons.  Many Tebow haters automatically go right to the religious route saying all Tim’s fan only love him because he is religious and that we ‘worship’ him.  Which is the furtherest from the truth.  Running my forum that is solely based around Tim, we have religious fans, we have fans who are atheist and just love the guy for football reason and even what he does off the field, we have fans that like Tim for his charity work and may not even watch much football.  Not saying being religious and a fan ofTim’s is bad at all… but clumping Tim’s fans into one category and making asinine assumptions and ridiculous statements bothers me as well.  

That’s why people are still talking about him.  Not because he is super religious (sure it is talked about, but not the main point) but because he is the under dog that should be a champion.  How can one not root for Tim?  He sticks by his guns, doesn’t let the naysayers take him down, and lives his dream.  I love that about him too.

Very true.  From whatI understand Tim was being shopped at the Combine that year before Manning was even a factor.  Which is sad in a way because Tim never had a chance whatsoever to grow with the Broncos whether he was the 1st or 2nd stringer.  Exactly, I hate when people suggest that Tebow is not a team player and doesn’t care to learn new things, because he does.  Unfortunately, there again the media made up that rumor that he was unwilling to switch positions, which he did in NY.  Which people seem to forget real quickly.  

Thanks for the message!  I read earlier today people in Denver are not happy with Payton and are finally coming to the realization us Tebow fans had from day one after the trade for Peyton.  They gave Manning all that money and he has literally done nothing.  Ok, he went to the SB, but that was a ‘ish show.  I will forever wonder and question why the Broncos couldn’t have kept Tim as a backup.  He would have gracious stepped aside and would have relished the chance to learn from Manning without any sort of diva complaints.  We all knew as fans when Tim got the chance with the Pats that he was never going to surpass Brady.  There again, why couldn’t he hold the clip board and learn something.  Develop.  I wish Tim was given the chance to do as such.  He would have never made a stink about ‘earning’ the starting spot and would have gratefully excepted learning from the best.

It is sad to see him hang it up if he has truly decide that.  (ETA:  Tim or his people have yet to really mention either way what is going on with giving a run for the NFL again.  So, as of right now he is with SEC until we hear he is training  again.)  According to Skip Bayless, people in Tim’s inner circle and camp do want him to give the CFL a go.  But he wants nothing to do with it as of right now.  Tim is very stubborn.  That stubbornness has definitely benefited him in regards to his training methods and staying on task.  However, he is stubborn about changing his mind about the NFL because like Skip said, he is a two time National Champ with the Gators plus a Heisman winner.  I understand and appreciate were Tim is coming from in that regards, but if he wants to continue to make a run for the NFL, he needs to think deeply about that.  

 I love the last part of your message… he is a hero and that is why I love him so much as well.  There is such terrible news regarding the NFL on a daily basis and a guy like Tim needs to be in the NFL not just because he deserves a shot, but because he is an incredible role model for all ages.  Maybe he will be like Kurt Warner and give it more push and go to the CFL.  Tim will definitely tell that story.

Of course I am.  :D  I have not, however.  I've never been to a game or anything, and am from an area where it would be very rare to run into him, haha.

I know, I tend to agree with that, especially after this week.  When he first went to the Jets, I was really excited to see what would happen, but all that talk about how great he would be for the team... and they barely play him.  It's definitely disappointing and, to be frank, a little disrespectful to Tim and his abilities as a quarterback.  I would definitely be interested in watching him play for a team that seems to want him for something more than "hey, we have Tim Tebow!"

I don't believe he does, unless he is keeping it very private.
