Normally the Scrub-A-Dub Tub didn’t come with a pony, but in this rare gift pack it came with three!

Oh my god, there it is! This was one of my first My Little Pony items! I got this pack when I was three, though the merry go round pony included was Sunnybunch. Since the gift pack did not specify their names, I called them Merry Go Round, Sparkle, and Sweetheart Sister as names for years. Deep in my brain somewhere, those are still their names haha.
I still have all my Little Ponies from childhood, so these three are still around with their…, uh, several hundred brethren, though the tub itself did not make it over 30 years, I was fascinated with it for a very long time.
It is so great to see this set advertised - I got told I was making all the details of this up!

And the person who took these pics ALSO got Sunny Bunch. I wonder if she was always the Merry Go Round pony included?

Also, in case anyone missed it, they’re now listed on Walmart.com!
As you can see, they made the incredible choice to charge more for the shortpacked ponies (Fizzy and Gingerbread) compared with the more prolific Sweet Stuff and Sky Rocket.
Even so, this is a great sign overall as it’s the first time Walmart has sold Basic Fun ponies since the Collector pony set.
Also, I think Walmart provides free shipping if you purchase a certain amount . . . The free shipping might make the prices competitive with other shops. (And in any case, still MUCH cheaper than eBay.)
A Canadian toy store, Toy Masters in Manitoba, now has the retro Basic Fun Twinkle Eye ponies for sale online! I expect to see more Canadian toy stores getting them soon. :)

Also I talked to a Canadian small toy store that said they were expecting a new shipment of Basic Fun ponies in late January . . . I would assume those will be the Twinkle Eye ponies. So keep an eye out, Canadians!
