:)
Satin ‘n Lace was included in many mail order brochures over the years, resulting in three different versions of the pony.
^ This is the first version of Satin ‘n Lace, a So-Soft pony as the earliest brochures describe.
^ I believe this was the second version of Satin ‘n Lace. She is the hardest to find of the three. She’s the exact same pony as the So-Soft version, but without flocking. The So-Soft ponies typically have very bold colors to compensate for their fur muting their hue.
^ The third version of Satin ‘n Lace is lavender, a softer color to more closely match what the So-Soft pony looked like with flocking.
This is the only instance I can think of a pony going from So-Soft to NSS (non-So-Soft) when they were sold in the same country. Usually it went the other way... For example, NSS Gusty was released first and sold as So-Soft Gusty the following year.
Lucky was the very first boy MLP. Did you know he’s also Satin ‘n Lace’s little cousin?
Was googling around for info on the Kellogg’s baby Christmas pony promotion (Baby Stockings) and I found this incredible video!! And the info that comes with it is even more incredible!

KELLOGG'S PROMO 1990 MY LITTLE PONY AND G.I. JOE
The other day tinkering with my Beta movies I found this treasure that I recorded as a child, it lasts very little because it is only the final fragment of the ad (the part that interested me) where Kellogg's promoted the gift of a pony or a G.I. Joe to choose from. From the back of the box, you chose the toy and they sent you one (although the toy you chose never coincided with the one in the photo since they sent you whatever belonged to that same set). I was able to get 3 ponies, I chose Galaxy and they sent me Fizzy, then Forget-Me-Not and they sent me Peach Blossom, finally I chose Baby Tiddly Winks and they sent me Baby Lemon Drop. A detail of the promo of My Little Pony is that all of them were made in Spain. Nowadays they are a treasure and some of them are worth fortunes.
Spanish ponies were given from the following collections: Party ponies (translator’s note: Twice As Fancy), Adventurers (translator’s note: Big Brother ponies), Cuddly Baby ponies (translator’s note: set comprised of Baby Moondancer, Baby Tiddly Winks, Baby Lemon Drop, and Baby Bow Tie), Flutter ponies, and Twinkle Eye ponies. I have no idea about G.I. Joe or how it worked since I only dedicated myself to the ponies :)

Ember was the first baby pony that Hasbro made. She was also the first pony that Hasbro offered via a Mail Order offer, in 1984. Also known as “Beautiful Baby Pony”. She had no cutie mark and three colors that the orderer could choose from, labeled as Pink, Blue and Lavender
G3 mail order Sunshimmer
The same but different at the same time
I wish Hasbro would start a mail order Pony Points / Horseshoe Points program again. G4 is the only generation without any mail order ponies . . .

Did Sea Breeze get a tail replacement? I could've sworn she was a "different mane color from tail color" pony.
Anyway, she was the single G2 mail order pony.
