This sticker set has it all. G1 retro art. Stolen fan art. Mimic in G4 style. Rarity and Zecora's lovechild? G3 Starsong. G5 Sprout in G4 style. Truly a multi-generational celebration.

Earth ponies have traditionally had the disadvantage of being the 'regular' ponies instead of beasts of legend like unicorns and pegasi, and on top of that the only non-magical ponies.

(And before anyone comes at me with "they could increase crop production in G4!" . . . that is so boring and unfun compared to flying and teleporting, and also useless to any earth pony who doesn't want to be a farmer.)

So I think it was very smart of G5 to give them actual, explicit, instant magic that they can use to create flower trampolines or build an instant treehouse or save their friends from falling to their doom by making vines catch them. And I predict future generations will continue to give earth ponies magic.

Singing Star Pipp Petals (US release 2021) and Sparkling Singer Zipp Storm (China release 2024)

My Little Pony Sparkling Singer Zipp Storm made by Dinosaw under license by Hasbro . . .The other two ponies in the set are Pipp and Sunny. Zipp has less obvious songs, which is why I got her (and also I just like Zipp a lot).

As it turns out, she sings songs sung by the MLP ensemble (in Chinese of course), so my guess is all three ponies have the same sound chip. She has 8 songs, which is quite respectable. She's big, about the size of the singing Pipp with the fluffy wings. I expected Zipp's wings to light up based on the packaging, but they don't, I think they're either glow-in-the-dark or simply translucent.

I think it would be funny if G6 MLP, whenever it comes to pass, is ALSO set far in the farflung future of the G4 / G5 universe, and the G5 characters are ALSO dead.

G5 Marestream with the larger figures (than Mini World Magic) available in China. Really cute, I just wish they'd made a mini pony of Misty, my favorite G5 pony.

Now this is interesting . . . G5 poseable ponies sold as blind boxes! They all have the same face mold, unlike the US poseables, which is most noticeable on Hitch. They all appear to be using Pipp's legs, which are shorter than other ponies'.

Their hair is not the same as the US poseables, it's been remolded. Zipp's wings have also been remolded.

These are by Dinosaw, which does have license to make G5 toys, so they are unlikely to be bootlegs.

G5 blind box figures

G5 mini ponies sold in China, it looks like each blind bag has two ponies. These might be the same molds as the Mini World Magic ponies, I'm not sure.

Ohhh, that's a tough one! Most G4 ponies have such bad hair that G5 gets the edge with their molded hair ponies; I'd rather have ponies I can't brush at all over ponies with bad synthetic hair. High quality nylon or nothing!

However, G4 does have a wider range of characters (even if there were still way too many Mane Six). For example Heartstrings and Sea Swirl are very pretty.

The G4 baby sea ponies set cements this as a G4 win; they're super cute and there were eight of them.
