Was feeling nostalgic for gen 1 MLP, watched Rescue at Midnight Castle again, and felt like drawing Spike and Scorpan. I’d always kinda wanted to write something with these two before the events of the show, but I haven’t gotten around to it—maybe someday.

I realized recently I really like the trope of “adult who is NOT a parent finds themselves trying to protect a child because they Can’t Not Protect the Child and possibly becomes a parental figure to them” and Scorpan and Spike’s situation sorta falls into that, haha.

I decided to dye one of the HQG1C dragons today! I wanted him to be a light pink, as I'd like to turn him into a sparkly version of Sparks.

Here he is sitting next to a spakly custom Fiery.

For Sparks I used the following:

11 cups water

1/4 teaspoon RIT Dyemore Super Pink

Left him in for 10 minutes, decided he was too pale

Added 1/4 teaspoon RIT Dyemore Racing Red

Left him in 5 more minutes

For pale colors use less dye, for darker colors more dye :)

It’s My Little Monday! With…Pony Friends Forever Convention Preparation! Getting ready with rainbows this time…are unicorns and sparkle dragons. There have to be lots of fun colors to choose from, so that anyone can get a dragon who is a perfect pal for their favorite character. The rainbow of dragons will only be available to choose from at the convention booth. Rainbow of Light unicorn needs new hair (and a name!) in her new home. The pearly rainbow swirls all over her, and hopefully inspires a fun hair design too at the PFF. A Horse of Every Color customs will be available at the booth, and I’ll be doing pony dye, pony rehair and pony restoration presentations as well, so it’s shaping up to be a fun and busy time that anyone can attend!
