I love it when people discover the G1 MLP comics <3
If you've ever wondered why the comic advertisements (like the MLP Club page with Cherries Jubilee) get uploaded multiple times, it's because I've been queuing up the scans sequentially, like an entire comic at a time. And of course most advertisements appear in multiple issues. :)

According to an article in GamesRadar, IDW’s My Little Pony 40th Anniversary Special comic will be 100 pages long and feature three separate stories, and will be released on July 12, 2023.
The comic’s three main covers each represent one of the stories, and were respectively illustrated by Keisha Okafor, Amy Mebberson and Rose Bousamra.
Synopsis: “Forty years ago, Butterscotch, Blue Belle, Minty, Snuzzle, Cotton Candy, and Blossom cantered onto shelves and into the hearts of children everywhere. Now, join IDW as we celebrate decades of ponies, toys, and friendship! First, from Sam Maggs and Keisha Okafor, travel back to the ‘80s in a story about four young girls, their My Little Pony toys, and the power of friendship and imagination as they try to save their horse barn from closing. Then, a story from Jeremy Whitley and Amy Mebberson, where Sunny Starscout and her pals learn more about Equestrian history and a place called Dream Valley. And finally, from Tony Fleecs and Brianna Garcia, in 2023, an aunt and her My Little Pony-loving niece have to rely on some dusty G1 toys for entertainment when the power goes out.”
Hi there!! I don't know how often you get told but like, thank you so much for posting G1 pony stuff in HD quality! I always love seeing your posts, they bring nostalgia back for me and something about the older art style that they had back then is so satisfying, so simple. I adore the more 'realistic' style that the ponies had back then, as much as I enjoy the newer ones too. Either way, hope your day is good! Many smiles upon you :) (i have run out of space or I would've went on and on haha)
Ahhhhh, thank you so much! <3 Yes, I really love the older art as well, it's so beautiful and lively! I didn't grow up with the comics (because I'm in the US and they were sold mostly in the UK) so it was very exciting to get them and have the opportunity to share them!
G4 making evil edgy OC ponies canon is great, I love pony villains
This is it, this is the year I explain the strangely elaborate lore of the G1 Christmas Giant and family*

Something for the G2 fans: I got this lovely lot of French Magazines for just €4!

I’m getting a Huey, Dewy, and Louie vibe from this, not sure if it’s intentional?
This weekend at MLP Fair with @audra_hime and @mavdpie I learned that Italian G1 ponies have really good names after I looked up Flutterbye and her Italian name was Michele
Another random observation . . . female MLP fans are usually enthusiastic about male ponies being released as toys, but some (not all) male Transformers fans threw absolute fits when female Transformers were introduced into the TF comic books.
It was honestly really embarrassing to watch.
I've been trying forever to find a way to store my MLP comic books. The thing is, they're much larger than American comic books so anything made to store American comic books was out.
I finally realized they were about the size of magazines and bought some of these IKEA cardboard magazine holders:
Great, cheap, and you can make them more snazzy by decorating them. Mine are covered in stickers, but I might actually paper the outsides or something.
Not ponies, but for the comic fans out there . . . I just put original art from "Justice League International" #17 on eBay. Art by Kevin Maguire, who is just amazing.
The page features Booster Gold and Blue Beetle. Shirtless. Need I say more?
