12/18/19: Pony Acquisition Post #398: G4.5 My Little Pony “Pony Life” Brushable Trixie!

Year Released: 2019/2020

The pretty controversial “Pony Life” brushable line is just barely starting to become available. Trixie was available at about retail on Amazon.com, but the others that I was even more interested in (Twilight and Potion Nova) were like $18 each so I’ll wait for them at retail. 

I’m gonna be honest with you guys: in person, these guys actually aren’t that bad! I was a little wary of them at first, but actually they’re a jump in quality from what we’ve been getting.

Of course, Trixie is in a totally brand new mold, and she’s a tad smaller than the reboot brushables. She has “Clydesdale” hooves and big, expressive eyes. I actually think the eyes are one of my favorite parts of her, I love the two-tone coloring of them. Her head is on a ball joint, so you can swivel it any way you can. And her horn is pretty long too!

The hair quality on these guys is SO much better than the reboot G4′s! Espeically since the last set of those I bought was that 10 pack from Costco with Minty, and their hair is notoriously bad. I can brush and put my fingers through Trixie’s hair and its amazing!

Yes, I agree with other complaints about these, that the ears are too big and cat-like, and there is a big overbite, but honestly they’re better than I imagined.

That’s the blind bag element! It says that on the box, that the accessories are a surprise, so multiple variant colors and gimmicks.

I think the smaller ones with their mouths closed are actually pretty cute.
