All the ponies, all the time!

Truly, with her comb.

She was from a set called Pony Friends that maybe only was sold in Scandinavia and South Africa. Is sometimes refereed as Non So Soft or NSS for short.

She was also in the 1986 MLP TV series and there she could be a bit snooty and stubborn. I instead imagine her being very caring, always helping and taking care of others. She often babysits the baby ponies or helps her sister Cupcake in the kitchen.

For those who are not as familiar with G1, deflocking is when you take a So-Soft pony …

… and strip all the fuzzy flocking off.

(Pic sources: [Ponyology], [FantasticFirefly] )

There are also some NSS (non-So-Soft) ponies who were sold without flocking in Europe (Wind Whistler, Shady, etc), which is another story.

A lot of collectors love deflocks for their more vibrant colors, more visible symbols, and because the flocking can get ratty.

That is a beautifully deflocked Twist!

I’d like a deflocked Wind Whistler, or a guide on how to deflock if I get a so soft. [Don’t worry, I’ll make sure to get one with her flocking in poor condition if I deflock her myself.]

For Wind Whistler, it's easier to just pick up the NSS version which was sold in the UK / Europe.  (Official name of the set was "Movie Ponies.")

If you want a show accurate Wind Whistler this is the one, because she has pink and blue whistles.  So-Soft Wind Whistler's whistles are all pink.

But as for techniques, some people use very hot water and just start scraping the flocking off, others use acetone or other chemical products.  If you use acetone, make sure you're in a well ventilated area, take the proper safety precautions, etc.

G1 My Little Pony ~ Wind Whistler, French version “Sifflebizz”

Oh man.  I'm totally calling her Sifflebizz from now on.

The official name of this set was "Movie Star Ponies" (as they were all in "My Little Pony: The Movie"), but you will more commonly hear them called "NSS ponies"--which stands for "Non So-Soft ponies".

You see, in the US these ponies were sold as So-Soft ponies with fuzzy flocking.  The international version does not have flocking.  Thus, NSS.
