Chapter Six of G5 MLP Make Your Mark is out today (on Netflix)!
I usually spread out my viewing experience but this time I binged it as a Thanksgiving treat. I really liked it. :)
Also if you watch Tell Your Tale then please be aware some of the recent episodes have spoilers for MYM.
The packaging for the Sunny and Blaize the dragon set seems to confirm what has been rumored . . . that Hasbro will continue Tell Your Tale (the 2D animated G5 series on Youtube) but discontinue 3D Make Your Mark after its current season is done.
I'm honestly really disappointed because even when MYM has mediocre episodes, the ponies are sooo cute with their Muppet-fuzzed faces and fluffy hooves. And the episodes have been getting better with each chapter. However, from what I heard Hasbro did product testing with each show, and the kids responded better to Tell Your Tale.
I don't know how Hasbro measures that, but a lot of MLP's audience does skew young (always has . . . I got my first MLP when I was 4) and for very young kids, yeah, a five minute comedy episode is probably easier to follow without getting distracted or scared. I think Habro should still keep MYM, though, to draw in older kids, who probably don't find TYT "cool" enough.
There are also rumors that there will still be some longer specials in the future, and I'm not sure if those will be 2D or 3D.
Summary: Misty has a bad dream . . . or is it a vision? Her friends take her to Bridlewood and she begins to remember a little about her past. Also, her magic awakens the Wishing Tree, summoning the Breezies for the first time in generations!
I had brownies in the oven and didn't want the timer to interrupt my viewing, so I almost skipped the theme song on Ch. 5 Ep. 2, but I'm SO glad I didn't!! New intro!
Watching the first Make Your Mark special again (to see if those two ponies were already a couple) I was astonished to see several shots where Jazz has ears!
And yes, they were already dating

Man, what a great episode! So much happens in this, the finale for Chapter 4.
With Chapter 5 of MYM coming up soon, any chance of seeing a review of Missing the Mark, the finale of Chapter 4, before then? I don't believe you ever posted your thoughts on it so I just wondered.
Oh wow, I didn't realize the next chapter was coming out this month! I'll do an episode review for the finale of the previous chapter sometime this month! The last one is always the slowest because the reviews are a way to sustain myself between episodes since I watch one per week, ha ha!
G1 had the Costume Ball in "Escape from Catrina", G3 had the Friendship Ball, G4 had the Grand Galloping Gala, and now G5 has the Manesquerade Ball! (RIP G2, not having a cartoon.)
The more I see of the G5 CGI show, the more I wonder what kind of time or budget crunch they were on with the first special (the one just called "Make Your Mark" where Posey was a primary antagonist). Because SOMETHING was going on with that, it felt like a rough draft and the animation was janky. I hope someone spills the tea someday.
So I've been watching one episode a week (I highly recommend this, so much more satisfying than binging) and man, this episode gave me sooo much of what I crave!

The Bridlewoodstock special definitely had MLP's 40th anniversary in mind, even though it isn't specifically mentioned. Really fun special! And first ever cartoon appearances of G1 Minty, Snuzzle, and Blue Belle. <3
The antagonists are also reimagined from G1 MLP 'n Friends!
