#try something new
Sooo I've decided to try and try do something new every....week at least? In order to challenge myself mentally and get out of my comfort zone + negative thought patterns... I made a whole list of stuff! It makes me more excited about life.
Today (a week day 👏🏼 go me) I did something creative. I got out the terracotta clay and made... Things that you might associate with inappropriate stuff lol but basically are:
A watering spike (no, not a phallus symbol 😆)
And just a leaf thingy
Messing around with clay does put my brain somewhat on hold! Score!

This weekend's project...
Learn how to make beautiful paper lanterns with flowers from the yard at home. These pressed flower luminarias are perfect for festive occasions or gifts.

Wow I actually finished a project!
After like 10 years we finally have some wall decoration above the couch. I made this with a hula hoop, some jute twine and pebbles I collected during trips. I love it! 🥰
Thrift store picture frames and pressed leaves.
Empty notebooks - to me - are a symbol of fresh starts. Just holding it and looking at it gives me a feeling of hope.
And apparently you can make these really cute, small ones from one sheet of paper and a piece of tape.
I felt like baking something I could share with the friends. I had 4 very ripe bananas so made these muffins and folded baking paper packages for delivery!
Unfortunately the tape didn't stick to the parchment paper (which I should have expected lol) so I wrapped them as above.
Oh, I added some raisins and coconut to them and baked them for about half an hour (longer than the 22 min as stated in the recipe).
Boredom = quarantine qreations 😆
A care package I sent to a friend (used the lid of an old shoe box). Included:
- Handmade postcards
- Happy socks
- Butter cake
- Candy
- Facial mask
- Tea
- Props for a fun family photo shoot (made them myself and stuck them on a wooden skewer)
- Stickers for her kids
- A handmade card + message
- Princess band-aids
- Chapstick
We took a couple of days off and took care of some projects around the house! Here we recycled a rack from our garden. I love it!
