pov: you are about to receive the worst customer service of your entire life
American followers!!! I generally try to keep this account politics free, but to any fellow Americans who follow me: friendly reminder to go out and vote today or tomorrow if you haven’t already!!!
Your vote may feel inconsequential, but generations of people spent hundreds of years fighting for us to have this opportunity BECAUSE they recognised its power. Go exercise it! Racial equality, women’s equality, lgbtq+ equality, reproductive equality, responses to climate change and more are all on the ballot, whether implicitly or explicitly. And don’t just look at the general election, but pay attention to your state amendments too!
Reblogging because there is still time! Proud of everybody who gets out there today or who already voted these past couple of weeks ❤️

dusted off my old line dancing playlist to work on this one
there is simply nothing worse than knowing how it ends
I just decided to look up Ashes after suddenly remembering it only to see you JUST answer an ask about it LOL? But gosh I was so invested in the characters as a kid, having seen them on Scratch!!!! Was such a huge inspiration for me back then too. Crazy it's been so long!!! I love your current style as well, super awesome!!! Just wanted to send that in haha
Hey!!! That's some crazy good timing, omg! I rarely post about ashes on here it feels like. And yeah, those eight years sure did fly by pretty fast! Thank you so much for taking the time to reach out and for remembering them as well! <3 it means the world
Omg omg I was NOT prepared for the crushing wave of nostalgia that seeing ashes art in the year 2024 triggered just now - Look. I'm not really an artist anymore. But finding you on scratch during middle school fundamentally impacted a significant portion of my formative years ok?? I'd sell a kidney just to watch your MAP parts again. That project was such a huge inspiration to me. YOU were such a huge inspiration to me! And to a lot of other people!! And Ashes pushed me to draw and write and improve and I'm always gonna be so grateful for that. I was very tempted to roll up my sleeves and take a stab at making some (probably crummy) fanart after seeing your latest post but ultimately I think that's just gonna be embarrassing for the both of us. But I had to at least say something. So thank you for remembering Ashes! It means a lot to us fans.
(also shoutout to bonafide bonaparteeeeeeee my second love)
Hi! I feel like I sound like a broken record when I say this, but these sort of messages mean the world to me, truly! And I simply cannot stress that enough. Working on Ashes was such a huge part of my late middle school/early high school years, a tough time for me that was made infinitely better by being part of that little community. So really, I should be thanking YOU and everybody else who watched it, helped make it, cheered it on, or even just thought about it—both for being part of the Ashes project back then and helping keep the memory of something that was so special to me alive now. :')
the 8th anniversary of my little animated pilot, ashes, is coming around in about a month, so I think maybe my first sketchbook will be a little tribute to that!
quick poll!
some of the artists I follow have been putting out short digital sketchbooks (twenty or thirty pages) for a small cost, usually $2-3.
if I were to do that, would anybody be interested? I think it would be simpler than opening commissions, and might give me a reason to do more fun/quick drawings + I could annotate the sketches with fun little thoughts + notes on process. putting this little poll below to gauge interest

hi! i’m new to stormlight archive, any good blogs to follow? love your artwork so much!!
aww thank you so much!! :)
word of advice: if you're new to stormlight and still catching up with the books, i would definitely recommend blocking spoiler tags! i had to do that with the book 5 chapter previews coming out, since i'm waiting to read the whole book in december (i also think all/most of the blogs below have spoilers lol)
that being said, here are some other stormlight art blogs i know of! i don't know any of them personally but i really enjoy their art (and i hope they don't mind me tagging them lol):
@stivya (who i bought an amazing kaladin sticker from)
and i have also been enjoying @moash recently as i have become more interested in a particular character (you'll never guess which one)
im definitely forgetting a lot of people, i'm a bit disconnected from the fandom since i'm not super active other than posting art every blue moon, but you should definitely search around! the stormlight fanbase has been one of my favorites to be a part of, especially on tumblr. i read every time people comment or leave a tag on my work and stormlight has some of the nicest folks (even if they've been tough on me for not knowing how to draw spears LOL)
oh gosh just stumbled across your blog and your art style is so so lovely! And ahhhh your OCs are so precious! Them arguing over classic films speaks to a very specific part of my soul, love their dynamic! :)
oh my gosh thank you for such a kind note!! reading this totally made my day, i'm glad you enjoyed them too!! :)
i've been having so much fun trying to incorporate pop culture into my story, especially pop culture that would be relevant to my characters who live in the 50s/60s, but it was really tough to craft a scene where johnny is absolutely not grasping the point of casablanca/projecting his own issues onto it because i actually adore that movie and the ending so much LOL! i attached the full page under the cut if you happen to be interested
