i don’t think i posted it but here’s how the horsethey in question responded to this

we need 15-20 episode seasons again these limited series have the worst pacing in the world and none of the character decisions hold any weight

we are slowly killing the difference between television and movies. tv seasons have 6-8 hour long episodes. movies are part 1 and part 2 and both halves are nearly 3 hours long. both of them have too much time and not enough time for the characters to struggle and grow and change. what makes a story better suited for television or film is becoming irrelevant because we are erasing the distinctions and that's bad for both of them!!!

Smtimes your house is haunted because there's a ghost sometimes your house is haunted because you miss grandma and your mom misses her even more sometimes your house is haunted because the subtext of how the last owners decorated rubs you wrong way sometimes your house is haunted because you've sublimated the fact that you didn't want to move in the first place and Sometimes your house is haunted because there's a carbon monoxide leak. Lots of options.

Rolling on the floor sobbing and crying and losing my mind at “GET INSIDE THE VAAAAAAAAAAN”

I do voice acting, so I just want to throw a little light on things: the actor playing the security guard has a constraint on him that the actor playing the manager doesn’t. If you watch the clip, at no point is the manager’s mouth moving on screen. When he’s running towards them, it’s just open, and for all his other lines it’s not even on screen.

This gives him a ton of room to work, because he doesn’t have to match lip flaps at all. He can do whatever he wants with the actual lines and delivery and timing. The security guard? Every movement of his mouth is onscreen, so the actor has to do his best to match the timing. And this wasn’t animated to match an English cadence.

This isn’t universal- dub actors learn to work with this and make it sound natural as a matter of course- but I see people ragging on his “stilted” performance compared to the manager and I wanted to give him due credit.

I think an aspect of edgeworth and franziska’s dynamic that isn’t talked about enough is how he’s such a typical annoying older brother with making fun of her height and purposefully grossing her out

I don’t have screenshots, but off the top of my head there’s also that moment when investigating the vending machine where he says something disgusting about the defendants’ fresh milk to get a reaction out of her
