I've realized something very important regarding the bear debate and women's pain in general and it's that men punish women for their anger
Notice how men always acknowledge/are completely aware of women's pain ("who hurt you" / "daddy issues", ect), and yet they always respond by insulting and hurting these women even further?
I had a man tell me I'd get better if I just "opened myself to positive male experiences" while the rest of his paragraph was calling me "toots" and degrading me. Real positive. Really wanted to talk to more men after that. 🙄
This is because women's anger and pain is a human thing, and being reminded that we're human makes men feel ashamed of hurting us: it ruins their fantasy of us being things put here to please them.
A woman having her own problems and emotions means she's not just here to cater to men: which pisses men off.
So instead of doing any introspection at all and asking WHY they want to hurt us or WHY they lack such empathy, they simply lash out and hurt us more.
If you're looking for a real answer, I have one. You're probably not going to like it, though. Because it's pretty simple, though I am wordy so pardon me on that. Also these will be extreme simplifications.
First, your fourth to sixth paragraphs are incorrect, and are assumptions built from your anger and hurt and is in fact your own lashing out rather than a want to understand.
Second, and to the real point: Men are not "punishing" women for their anger, they are fed up with women demanding them to act on something they are incapable of acting on without subjugating women.
What do I mean by this? Women rose up and demanded freedom equal to men under the law, they no longer wanted to be the protected class, which has to have a measure of control put upon them in order to ensure that protection. Women wanted freedom, understandably. Thing is, freedom requires risk. You are free to do as you will understanding there may be consequences and those may be dangerous. This is how men have lived.
The real problem begins where some women still fall back on being the protected class. This thing has hurt me, this thing frightens me, and expect a level of response to it. For men, the answer to these problems is "deal with it", for these women, the answer is "you do something."
But there's nothing men can do about it. Because to protect women from their fears and hurts, especially ones as vague and many as "other men," the only answer is to put you back into the proverbial kitchen.
So, the only answer men can give to "we are so scared of men we'd rather face a monster of an animal" is: "And...? So...?"
When presented with problems, men act. But there is no action they can take here, and none are being given that are actually actionable, something they don't already do but you claim they don't, or something that isn't passive aggressive insults.
To summarize, some women are demanding men do something about their fears, but men cannot do anything about it without also doing something you don't want them to do. The conclusion they come to is therefore that women don't actually want them to do anything, and are just using them as verbal punching bags to vent their own frustrations.
So some men vent back. That's all it is.

"I WROTE IN BLOOMBERG"???!??
That's the last straw, democracy is officially cancelled. We going back to the drawing board on this one.
Okay I actually wasn't expecting that - so far the Joe Rogan thing was being used symbolically imo. Like Harris needs to reach out to a swath of people like Joe Rogan, go on many podcasts and such. Maybe she did just need to go on this one guy's show!
Though this does reinforce something about elections - the vast majority of paid media doesn't do much before the last month. Anyone paying attention has already decided, swing voters don't worry about it till the point of decision. Might want to build campaign strats around that more.
(Re: "Did the Media Cover the election fairly) Top guy is a Jill Stein voter btw. You can think whatever you want about the media coverage and its balance and all that - but the way the median voter sees it is heavily stacked against Trump. Because it is! Because reality is. But you can't steer that ship farther left, it is broken enough.
(Though they are right about the Liz Cheney thing. Obviously selection bias ahoy but still, right is right)
Finally, the one good median voter.
Being less meme-y this is a good read. A few thoughts:
I'm defaulting to "most people just vote for chimpy reasons like he's taller, and makes more noise". It fits with all the immigrants voting against their interests... submission before a threat display. It's not happy thinking but it's probably accurate.
maybe
just maybe!
people don't believe the same things you do about what their best interests are.
maybe you don't actually understand the beliefs of others as well as you think.
This article and the reaction to it illustrates why undecideds would lean towards Trump, and it's not even really about glorifying Trump. It's that the Left has become fucking insane and detached from reality and when faced with the truth that most people do not align with their cult-like unconditional party loyalty and their deranged platform, they still go "But you were supposed to vote for our team anyways! You're not supposed to make a choice! You're supposed to vote blue, no matter who! I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU!!!"
And most will not learn their lesson and do it all the same stupid shit again in 4 years anyways.

here's your regular reminder that if you consistently, regularly get headaches, you are almost certainly having migraines, not regular headaches.
MOST recurrent headaches are migraine headaches.
"migraine" does not mean "extremely painful headache." it is a type and source of pain, not a degree of pain. migraines can also include some or all of the following: fatigue, sensitivity to light and sound, visual auras, nausea or vomiting, dizziness, cognitive impairment, etc. these symptoms can be mild or severe and it may actually be difficult to determine if you have them. (who wants a bright light in their eyes during a headache?? i thought that's just how headaches were lmao.)
this is important because while aspirin, NSAIDs like ibuprofren, and other over-the-counter pain meds can effectively alleviate migraine pain, getting diagnosed with migraines allows for a wider range of treatments and preventatives.
it's also important because, in my opinion, your average general practice doctor is not equipped to diagnose you with chronic migraine. don't go to one expecting them to. a neurologist with migraine specialty is a better option, although a regular doctor can still be useful if they listen to you lol.
my life would be miserable and unmanageable without sumatriptan. and i never would have gotten a prescription for sumatriptan if i hadn't gone to my GP and said, "i have migraines and want to try migraine medicine," even though at the time i wasn't 100% sure that was true.
if you have chronic headaches, they're almost certainly migraines. if no one has said that to you before, let me be the first. start treating your migraines.
multiple times in my youth, i went to the doctor expecting them to figure out and tell me if i had migraines. each time, the doctor asked, "do you see an aura?" and when i said no, they determined i must not be getting migraines. no one ever told me that only 20% of migraine sufferers experience auras. that means 80% don't, yet that is frequently used as important diagnostic criteria! what!
a book i recommend over and over is The Keeler Migraine Method by robert cowan. highly recommend if you're trying to figure your migraine situation out.
Migraines don't have to involve headaches! Turns out I've had migraines my whole life and I didn't know, because it doesn't cause headaches. Rather, I get
I chalked a lot of this up to autism and overstimulation.
I saw a neurologist and now I have medicine to treat my migraines. What I have are called ocular migraines.
Please look into migraines without headaches. You may be totally unaware that you have migraines.
Migraines without headaches are called silent migraines, and they’re absolutely a thing. For me they’re even more frequent than painful ones.
Here’s a test which, while not infallible, has led to multiple of my friends realizing that they had migraines and didn’t know it: Do you feel nauseated? Confused? Like you pulled an all-night even though you didn’t? Or are you feeling just generally off in a way that’s hard to define? Go into a really dark room and shut the door behind you. If whatever weirdness you were experiencing gets suddenly better as soon as you’re sitting in the pitch-dark, you almost certainly are having a migraine.
I’ve mistaken migraines for food poisoning and car sickness. I’ve had friends who have mistaken them for everything from seizures, to covid, to a poor night of sleep, to even just having had too much alcohol to drink. The symptoms of migraines are extremely varied, and very few people have all of them - but light sensitivity is common and a bit of a dead giveaway. If you have light-sensitive anything, bring it up with a doctor as a possible migraine symptom.
