i don’t want this to get too long but i’m trying to save up money to leave. i have someone i can go with but i don’t have money for travel costs. i’ve been looking for work for months and applied to several jobs with no luck. if u want to know more, i’ll do my best to answer any questions.

as of this post, i will set a short term goal of $500. please help me get out of here

“male loneliness epidemic” and “friendzoning” are similar concepts to me in that the conditions they describe are literally experienced by everyone at some point in their lives but when its men its some sort of profound injustice that needs to be rectified by checks notes giving them unfettered access to the public good that is Women

also the former "epidemic" being taken up in pop discourse explicitly or implicitly as a pathological consequence of feminism having "gone too far" and instead of actually doing the work to connect social isolation to existing material conditions. no no don't worry about it just default to blaming women for men's sadness and dissatisfaction bc otherwise you'd have to confront capitalism and misogyny and white supremacy etc. and nobody wants to do that so. its somehow very aggravating and boring at the same time. whenever i see think-pieces that follow this script i instantly fall into a furious slumber

thats the thing thats missing from america-centric discussion of fascism: this shit is global. every country in “the west” is seeing the same rise of fascism in real time, all of it focused on murdering migrants. like giorgia meloni is campaigning to deport people to “migrant camps” in albania. last year the greek coast guard outright drowned a boat of 500 asylum seekers. and as that last post said im not dismissing the suffering of people within the US, i’m just saying its so supremely frustrating that every conversation is about the minutiae of american domestic policy and not the horrifying ultranationalist global trend scapegoating arabs and africans.
